Official Performance Horse Boot and Leg Wear of the USEF. 23
$435,000 INTERNATIONAL & OPEN
JUMPER SECTION
This section is open to National and International riders. Approximately 32
riders will qualify using the following criteria:
Twenty three (23) US and Canadian riders will qualify based on their
ranking on the Rolex/USEF Show Jumping Ranking List dated September 9,
2011. Should any of the 23 highest ranked riders on the list not enter the
show the next highest ranked riders will qualify until all spots are filled.
Up to five (5) foreign (not Canadian) riders will be invited based on the FEI
Rolex World Ranking list prior to September 17, 2011. If fewer than five (5)
foreign riders enter the competition those unfilled slots will revert back to
the Rolex/USEF Show Jumping Ranking List. The Organizing Committee
will reserve to themselves up to four (4) “wild card” invitations. If any or all
of those 4 “wild card” invitations are not used, those spots will be filled
using Rolex/USEF Show Jumping Ranking List dated September 9, 2011.
Each qualified rider who enters the competition will pay a $400 nominating
fee and may bring 2 horses. Additional showing fees must be paid for all
classes as indicated in the class descriptions. Declarations for individual
classes must be made by 9:00 A.M. on the day of the classes. Riders may
only ride one horse in each class with the exception of Training Class 150
and the Welcome Speed Class 151, in which they may ride two horses.
Riders must be properly attired for all classes.
Riders may earn points for the USEF Computer List in Class 152 and Class
154. Riders may earn points for the FEI Rolex World Ranking in classes
151 through 154.
FEI Stabling & Schooling: All horses competing in the International Open Jumper section must be on the grounds and stabled in the official FEI
stabling compound by 12:00 pm (noon), Tuesday, November 1, 2011. From
this point forward these horses must be accompanied by their competition
number whenever they leave the official FEI stabling compound. Horses
may be ridden only during designated hours and in designated areas. FEI
equipment rules apply. Boot and leg inspections will take place without prior
notice to competitors.
Veterinary Examination and Inspection: All horses competing in the
International - Open Jumper section must be presented for Examination and
Inspection at approximately 3:00 pm, Tuesday, November 1, 2011 in the FEI
Stabling Compound. They must be accompanied by their FEI Approved
Passport.
24
Conducted under FEI medication and treatment rules. Drug testing will
be provided by USEF.
Orders of Go: A starting order will be drawn and rotated for classes 151,
152 and 153. The starting order for class 154 will be determined from the
results of classes 152 and 153 (points to be determined by number of entries
in each class, with the winner receiving 2 points more than the number that
competed; second place, 2 points less than the winner; third place, 3 points
less than the winner, etc.). If a competitor only competes in one class, he
will receive 0 points for the class he does not compete in. If a competitor
does not compete in either class they will be placed at the beginning of the
order. If there is more than one competitor who did not compete in either
class there will be a separate draw among those competitors, who will be
placed at the beginning of the order.
DRESS CODE
Proper attire is required for all persons entering the competition ring (i.e.
appropriate riding clothes or attire which an exhibitor would wear to
compete in a model class). No person may jog a horse or walk any course
unless properly attired. Jeans and tennis shoes are not considered proper
attire while in the competition ring.
Class 152 & Class 154 held at this show are eligible for inclusion on the
USEF Computer List.
All Grand Prix held at this show are eligible for
inclusion on the Rolex/USEF Show Jumping
Ranking List. Certification Number 11174
