Auction and Party! We are delighted you are here.
Our theme, Where it All Happens!,was inspired by the
rich history of our school, which has been at the
crossroads of Seattle’s Central District for over 100
years. From cultural and economic diversity to
multiple academic programs, to an inspiring and
accomplished musical tradition, Washington Middle
School is truly Where it All Happens!
Tonight’s event is the culmination of untold hours of
planning and hard work by this year’s auction team,
who volunteered their time, boundless energy,
considerable talent and good humor to create this
fabulous event. We are enormously grateful to them
all.
Every dollar spent tonight directly benefits WMS
students, faculty, and staff. So raise your glass, and
your bid card, and help continue to make WMS the

Auctioneer Corinne Fiske has been involved in the
charity auction business with Northwest Benefit
Auctions for over eight years. She has a particular
passion for children, animals, sports, and education
and loves helping organizations raise as much money
as possible for their causes while providing an
entertaining experience for her audiences. We are
delighted to have Corinne work with us tonight to
make Where it All Happens! a huge success for
WMS.

Wine Toss
Back by popular demand! For only $20, you get three
chances to win a bottle of wine by landing a ring on a
bottle. Land one with a “bonus bottle” sticker on the
bottom, and you win an additional prize! The Wine
Toss closes at 7:15, along with the Almost Live
auction.
Dessert Dash
Check out our display of delectable desserts! These
will be sold to each table during the Live Auction. Bid
aggressively and strategically — the highest bidding
table gets first pick!
Restaurant Frenzy and Wine Frenzy
During the Live Auction, bid on bottles of wine and
restaurant gift certificates at face value. Listen for our
auctioneer to announce the frenzy, as the bidding will
be fast and furious! The first bid card acknowledged
by Corinne will be the winning bidder!
Raise the Paddle
The most important part of the evening! Be inspired
by the video produced by talented WMS parent and
filmmaker, Brad Vanderburg, and then raise your bid
card to make a 100% tax-deductible donation to
WMS.

Stuff Happens!
1. Registration: Please sign in at the registration
table. You will receive a bidding number to use for
all auction purchases. All bidding will be done by
number, not name.
2. Express Pay: We encourage you to use the
Express Pay System to avoid long lines at the end
of the evening. If you choose this option at checkin, we will take your credit card information. At the
end of the evening, you will not need to check out.
Just take any items you purchased with you. The
credit card receipt, tally, and copies of auction
slips will be mailed to you.
3. Bidding: Please be sure to write your bid number
firmly and legibly on the bid sheets. Illegible
numbers will not be honored as winning bids.
4. Closings: Closing times for the silent auctions are
6:45 for the first silent auction, 7:00 for the second
silent auction and 7:15 for the Almost Live
auction. The Live Auction will begin at 7:45.
“Raise-the-Paddle” will occur during the Live
Auction.
5. Check-Out: Cashiers will be open for check out
starting at 9:45. We appreciate your patience in
allowing the cashiers the time before 9:45 p.m. to
process all the winning bid sheets. All items must
be paid for at the end of the auction. Visa,
MasterCard, checks, and cash will be accepted.
Winning bidders must take all items home with
them after the auction. Gift certificates can be
picked up at Check-out. If you choose the
Express Pay System, and don’t need to pick up
any gift certificates, you do not need to stop at
check-out. (See number 2 above.)
6. Guaranteed Bid: On silent auction items, a bidder
may guarantee their win at any time on items with
a “Guaranteed Bid” price posted on the bid sheet.
Once a bid number is in that box, no further
bidding will be accepted on that item.
7. Expiration Dates: Please check expiration dates
and terms carefully on all certificates as they vary
greatly. Unless specified differently, all items must
be used within one year of the date of the auction.
8. Other Fine Print: We reserve the right to add or
withdraw, without notice, items to or from the
auction.
Reservations for trips and vacation
accommodations must be mutually arranged with
the donor unless otherwise noted. Tickets in travel
packages are for coach class services unless
otherwise noted. No refunds will be allowed on
travel packages for canceled tickets and/or
accommodations.
We have endeavored to catalogue and describe
the items correctly, however all items are sold “as
is.” No statements contained in the catalog or
made orally at the sale or elsewhere shall be
deemed a warranty, representation, or
assumption of liability.
Each person issued a bid number (bidder)
assumes all risks and hazards related to the
auction and items obtained at the auction. Each
bidder agrees to hold harmless from any liability
arising from this auction, its organizers,
volunteers, contractors (including agents and
employees) sponsors, the auctioneer, and any
others connected with the auction.
