THURSDAY, OCTOBER 1: AMALFI
1. Don Alfonso Gastronomy Tour: $650 per person
Meet your host at the reception of Don Alfonso Relais and Chateaux, where the
family members will welcome you to their home and culinary institute, which was
established in 1890. Accompanied by a local expert, begin your day of utmost
gastronomic delight with a romantic walk through the fields, stopping to see
first-hand the different products that are grown in the local farm with the greatest
care and attention. After your visit to the farm, your host then accompanies you to
the Don Alfonso’s headquarters, for a 100% private-access tour and wine-tasting

The cruise will be in port overnight in Barcelona for the evening of October 5. There will be a special performance by
Eliane Elias at the BARTS Theater. Before the show there will be an optional group dinner at a wonderful Tapas restaurant,
for an authentic Spanich experience. After the performance we will be hitting up the local clubs and hot spots for a night on

1. Barcelona Highlights Tour from Noon to 5pm

This tour is a great introduction to the history and culture of Barcelona. The
tour begins with a panoramic visit to the city and continues exploring, both
walking and by car, the various aspects of this wonderful city and a number of

CIUTADELLA DE MENORCA
1. Morning Half Day Menorca Highlights

Enjoy a Menorca Highlights Tour with your local expert guide and driver.
Visit Mahon, the island’s capital. Its architecture shows evident British influence;
remain of a time when Menorca was part of the British Empire. Still you can see
by the way the ruins of the old English Marine Hospital. When visiting Mahón
you shouldn’t miss the port. It is said to be the best port in the world, behind
Pearl Harbour. Close by, in Finca de San Antonio, Admiral Nelson and Lady
Hamilton lived their famous romance.
On the far western end of Menorca lays the city of Ciutadella, the old capital
of the island. Its remote origins have left a wide archaeological heritage in the
island, in the form of megaliths. The most important prehistoric monuments you
can visit are the “taulas”, the “talaiots” and the “navetas”. The beautiful port of
the city’s historic quarter, called Es Born, is surrounded by medieval streets filled
with palaces, churches and fortresses.

The Serial Property proposed for inclusion in the tentative List of World
Heritage of the Spanish State is made up of 25 archaeological sites that are
representative of the Talayotic Culture of Minorca (CTMe) and those that best
illustrate the Prehistory and Protohistory of the island of Minorca. This island,
that forms part of the Autonomous Community of the Balearic Islands, has an
exceptional heritage, reflected in its 1,574 archaeological sites inventoried
on its 700m2 of surface area. There are places of very different monumental
category that include a wide chronological range that embraces the arrival of
man on the island to the Medieval Islamic era. Of these places, 1,401 hold
the protection category as Assets of Cultural Interest the maximum juridical
protection of heritage legislation in the Spanish state.
The selection made brings together the examples that best illustrate Minorcan
Talayotic Culture as it is made up of the representation of different building types
and the best monumental quality. They have also been chosen for being the
most scientifically researched and for having brought knowledge of this culture
in its different manifestations: from the socioeconomic aspects to the funeral and
festive rituals.
Visit the Talaiot de Trepuco, which was excavated by English archaeologist
Margaret Murray in 1931 and declared a Historical-Artistic Monument that
same year, is located approximately two kilometres from Mahon on the road
to Sant Lluís. Then visit The navetas at Rafal Rubí are monumental structures that
served as mass pantheons which can only be found in Menorca. Then enjoy

steep steps and narrow passageways, offers guests exceptional views. Tour the
village with a local guide, visit an old mill and meet the owner to taste his olive
oil. Enjoy lunch overlooking the Gulf of Valinco.

5. Artisanal Discovery Workshop

Walk along Bonifacio seaport, Jewel of the extreme south of Corsica, magnified
by the turquoise water surrounding a case such as concealing treasures,
Bonifacio is the southernmost town in France. Protected by high cliffs, the
Citadel, built on a unique limestone cap, proudly overlooks the sea where the
Straits of Bonifacio separates Corsica from Sardinia Italian. Visit of the only
European shop which displays unique items made out of cork. Learn about the
making process of converting cork into shoes, clothes, fashion accessories,
jewelry and more. Then enjoy lunch at a typical Corsican restaurant. And end
with a visit of a shop dedicated to corals. Meet with the owner who catches the
coral himself in the deep sea of the south Corsica.
