February 12 Dance
Lesson in Cha Cha
taught by Aaron Ordaz
It was a different type of night when Larry Saldivar took the stage at
Arbor Hall. Larry, known for high-energy dances, did not let the
dancers down. It may have been close to zero outside, but Larry kept
everybody sweating on the floor.
Many of you asked why we are trying new D.J.'s. As officers of this
Club our responsibility is to provide you with the best dance music
we can find. S 'n' S dancers desire a unique type of music that very
few people are capable of providing. With the passing of Jack
Meinking, the number of
D.J's is decreasing so it is essential that we look for new talent. If our scheduled D.J. were
to become unavailable, we would need someone to fill the position. Please bear with us as
we explore the talent of the area.
As a Board, we plan to provide you with a quality dance venue for years to come. That
means, just like you, we have to do things now to prepare for the future. Please work with
us on the D.J.'s. Feedback from you, our customer, is how we evaluate our services. Please
donor hesitate to let us know what you think by using the comment page on our website:
swingnsway.com .
At the February dance, "Have A Heart", we will be honoring and supporting Women's
Heart Health Month. We will be raffling off some very nice Swing 'n' Sway coffee cups,
generously donated by Chris and Terry Washington. Thank you in advance for your
participation. It is through your caring and generosity we are able to make these types of
donations through out the year. Thanks again.
In February we will be opening the doors to Arbor Hall at little early (6:45PM) for those
dancers who may be planning on attending the workshops sponsored by the Dance(tonians)
in March. Starting at 7:000PM we will be reviewing the basic steps for Two Step and
Night Club Two Step, spending about one half hour on each dance. Even if you are not
planning to attend the workshops, please come on out for the lesson. We are looking
forward to having D.J., Ed Armein and his wife, Melissa. He will be providing the dance
music for the evening.
Aaron is an independent Ballroom dance
instructor. Locally he teaches at the Elegance in Dance studio at 8967 Kingsridge Dr. Miamisburg, OH. Aaron performed several Pro/AM exhibitions at
Dance Fair in 2010 as well as performing
a professional exhibition with Sara Andrews. Aaron will be teaching a Cha Cha
lesson on February 12th beginning at
7:30PM. Contact Aaron directly for
dance lesson information.
Keep warm (no better way than dancing).

ATTENTION DANCERS
Just a reminder that Rodie Radermacher has been receiving chemotherapy treatments for nonoperable lung cancer. Please continue to keep him and Pam your thoughts and prayers. Please
feel free to send your cards and notes to:
Rodie Radermacher, Villas of The Arbors, 143 Rue Marseille, Kettering, Ohio 45429-1882.
For those dancers who are not familiar with these two very fine dancers. Pam and Radie have
been very active in and supportive of the ballroom dancing community in Dayton. Both of them
have held numerous positions on several of the dance club boards in our Dayton dancing community. In fact, Radie is still a member of the Swing ‘n’ Sway Board.
