Accommodation
There are three main styles of accommodation
available for conference guests.
The Lodge is an original 1930’s Art Deco building,
and was known as the chalet for VIP guests of the
Hydro. It retains its stately character with 9 luxury
suites, expansive lounge and bar, private dining
room, cliff top spa and gym and the most spectacular
views of the town.
The Cottages are refurbished Art Deco buildings
that were homes to the engineers, doctors and
superintendents of the town, and are complete with
fireplaces, 3-4 bedrooms, polished wooden floors
and full kitchens, as well as 2 modern bathrooms.
All cottages have lovingly been furnished in their
period and are a home away from home.
The Scholars House consists of 10 individual hotel
rooms, each with double bed in a mezzanine level
bedroom, private ensuite and lounge on the ground
floor. The Scholars House also contains a large
shared chefs kitchen and lounge area with fireplace.
It is ideal for accommodating smaller groups all
together, or larger groups who require separate
facilities for each delegate.
