The lottery numbers can be drawn through the evening of May 20 th during
studio hours. Your number will determine the time you should come to the
North Aurora location on Saturday May 21st to purchase recital tickets. If you
are unable to get to MOVES to select your tickets in person you may submit your
pre-paid ticket order to the MOVES desk staff before May 20th and the best
available tickets will be pulled during your designated lottery slot.

Ticket Information:
New to Moves this year? Here’s what you need to know:
Recital tickets are $25.00. Moves is committed to offering our students and their families the best and most
professional dance recital. With this commitment we have chosen the Paramount Theater in Aurora which is one of
Illinois’ most beautiful and prestigious theaters. The ticket fees are based on theater rental and production costs. The
Paramount Theater is a union theater.
You will find all ticket information within this packet.
Please Note:
o Everyone attending the recital will need a ticket
o Seating is assigned
o Moves students between the ages of 3 and 7 will be given a complimentary ticket to sit with their parent in the
audience. You must order this complimentary ticket when placing your regular ticket order. Identify to the ticket
sale person that your child is between the ages of 3 and 7 and they will issue that ticket at no charge to you.
Staff will have a list of all Moves students between the ages of 3 and 7.
o Complimentary seating in a designated student section will be available to Moves students ages 8 and up. If you
would like your child (8 and up) to sit with you during the performance you will need to purchase their ticket
when you order yours.

Video Recording:
ABSOLUTELY NO VIDEO RECORDING OR FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY is allowed during the recital performances. The show will
be professionally recorded and can be ordered at or before the show. You will find a copy of the Moves Dance Recital
DVD order form in this packet.
Recital T-Shirts:
Be sure to purchase your 2016 “Dancing on Air” Recital T-Shirt! Limited time only & limited quantities available. Next
year Moves will be holding “recital shirt days”. If you wear your 2016 shirt to a specified summer and/or fall class,
intensive or masterclass you will receive a special promotion. You will only be able to purchase these shirts for a limited

Tickets for the Moves/WSC recital are available directly through the Paramount Theater Box Office.
Tickets go on sale Saturday May 21st 2016 at 10:00 a.m. and are available for purchase through the
start of the show at 7:00 p.m. on June 8th 2016. The Paramount Box Office is located at 23 East Galena
Blvd, Aurora, IL.
If you order your tickets directly through the box office or in person, there are NO additional fees. Ticket

Paramount Theater accepts all major credit cards.
MOVES has a tradition for years of having a choreographed recital piece for
the dancers and their daddy’s! JOIN TODAY! Sign up by emailing
[email protected] or at the MOVES main desk. Include the name and
age of your dancer(s) and their dad’s name. A one time fee of $40 per family
is due by May 1st paid directly to Moves Dance Studio. Your dancer(s) and
their dad are required to attend 2, 2 hour rehearsals on May 21st and May
28th from 12:00-2:00. (All rehearsals will take place at North Aurora).
Costuming will include something you already have in your closets. Typically
black slacks and a white dress shirt for dad. Attending dress rehearsal on
June 7th is encouraged, but not mandatory. Dancers aged 3-18 are
welcomed and encouraged to dance with their dad! Of course you need to
make some sweet memories!

You are receiving a full recital packet with plenty of detailed information for you regarding dress rehearsals, pictures, and all
the recital information along with the May newsletter which contains all important dates you will need to know. MAKE SURE
you are checking your email for an electronic copy of the newsletter as well as a hard copy that will be sent home with your
child.
WE WILL HAVE 2 SEPARATE SHOWS THIS YEAR AT THE PARAMOUNT THEATER
Wheaton Sport Center: will perform on Wednesday June 8th at 7:00 p.m. at the Paramount Theater
Picture Day will be on Sunday May 22 at Wheaton Sport Center
North Aurora: will perform on Thursday June 9th at 7:00 p.m. at the Paramount Theater
Picture Day will be on Saturday June 4 at the North Aurora Studio
On the attached schedules please find your child’s class(es) to the appropriate dress rehearsal schedules. The date and
time slots listed are the times they will REHEARSE. Please keep in mind that the actual performance moves MUCH quicker
than the rehearsal.
Please Note: If you have a child/children in the June 8th and June 9th recital and they are enrolled in regular scheduled
classes (non-company classes) you will be able to purchase your ticket at half price. This does not include company
members ONLY performing in company dances at both shows. They must be enrolled in at least one non-company class at
the North Aurora and WSC location. We ask that 1 parent or guardian bring your child to the other shows JUST for their
company performance. Monitors for viewing will be in the lobby.
During the recital we ask that your child stays throughout the entire show. After the last number of the performance all of our
students will be doing a finale dance to wrap up our show!

Online Photo Registration (OPR) is now live. OPR is a pre-order service that allows parents to place their orders online prior to photo
day. (NOTE: This link will expire at the end of your final photo day for this season, anyone wishing to order photos must do so on or
before photo day and bring an e-ticket with that order to photo day).
OPR is the easiest way to order photos and offers families advantages that aren’t available on our traditional forms, such as the
option to “Build Your Own Package” and a multi pose/costume discount. It will help cut down on possible errors and ensure a
smoother photo day as more families will come prepared.

ON PICTURE DAY
Dancers: Please be present and dressed in FULL costume, makeup and hair, 20 minutes prior to your group picture time. All North
Aurora group class photos will be taken at Moves. All WSC group photos will be taken at WSC. Individual portraits can be taken
anytime between 12:00-7:00.
During Picture Day we expect a large volume of traffic coming through our parking lot. Please be sure to allow extra travel time so
that you can comfortably park and arrive for your photo on time. Below are some options for you to consider:
o Park across the street in the NA Town Hall parking lot (its public parking on weekends, there is additional parking on
weekends, there is additional parking in the back of the building).
o Dropping off older children
o Street parking on State Street
o Additional parking on West side of the river

DRESS REHEARSAL
Tuesday June 7th
All performers must be in their full costume and stage make up. Rehearsal schedules are attached. Each class will have a
designated rehearsal time. Please fine your class and the corresponding time on the rehearsal schedules attached to this
packet. Please arrive FIVE numbers prior to your scheduled time in case we are running ahead of schedule. Once your
scheduled rehearsal time slot is complete you are allowed to leave. Only ONE parent allowed per dancer in the theater
during dress rehearsal. Family and friends must view on show day. Designated dressing rooms will be available for dancers
and their classes. Practice space will also be available.
Parents: You are responsible for your children at all times during dress rehearsal and performances. Only ONE
parent will students ages 3-7 are allowed back stage. Please stay in the dressing room area with your young children until
the backstage staff comes to line them up in preparation for their performance. Following their performance, the dancers
will be escorted back to the dressing room by the staff. Following the performance, please come and meet your child.
SHOW DAY: Before and after your child’s performance, please feel free to take them to the audience to watch the show. The
only time they have to be in the dressing rooms are when it gets close to their performance time.
Performer/Student Info: At dress rehearsal you are required to line up in the hallway directly behind
the backstage area FOUR numbers before your dance is to perform on stage. Show day you are required to be backstage
lined up FOUR numbers before you actually perform. At this time, you will be escorted to the backstage area by the Moves
backstage staff 4-5 numbers before you actually perform.
Quick Changes: Please notify us at 630-264-6300 if your child has 2 numbers or less to change their
costume. There will be quick change dressing rooms located back stage. If you have a quick change please be sure to
practice changing your costume so that you will not be stressed the day of the show. If you have a quick change, please
notify the backstage staff the day of dress rehearsal so that they may set you up in the quick change room. Ms. Amy will be
there to assist any dancer with a quick change.

May others observe dress rehearsal? NO. In making every effort to secure a productive, successful and focused working and
creative environment, only 1 adult per Moves student may attend dress rehearsal. Please closely supervise siblings.
Will valet parking be available at dress rehearsal? No.
Dressing rooms and backstage areas will be marked as you walk into Paramount Theater. They will be designated by ages
with signs.
If you have questions at dress rehearsal feel free to ask the staff, they are there for your
assistance. They will have Recital T-Shirts on.

Paramount Theater and Parking Information
PARAMOUNT THEATER PARKING OPTIONS
The Paramount Theater is located at 23 East
Galena Boulevard, Aurora IL 60506.
Valet Parking – Valet parking is available at the
main entrance of the theater for a fee of $11$20. Due to traffic on Galena, please line up for
valet on Stolp Avenue. From Route 31 (Lake
Street), go east on Downer Place and turn north
on Stolp Avenue. Valet closes after the show. The
$20 valet service is preferred parking – your car is
parked close and keys given to you immediately
following the performance so that you can leave
right away and not have to wait for a valet driver
to bring around your car. The $11 is standard –
you have to wait in line after the performance for
a valet driver to bring around your car (first come,
first served). Please pick up your keys
immediately following the performance.
Paid parking- For your convenience, local parking
is available for a fee at the municipal garage
located on the corner of Stolp Avenue and Downer Place, just one block south of the Paramount.
Free Parking – Street parking is free, but only available for a maximum of 90 minutes on Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and
Saturday 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. No time limit on Sundays. There is also a free parking lot on River Street, just north of New York Street. See
map. PLEASE read parking guidelines posted throughout the downtown area to avoid the risk of being towed.
Additional Parking – Free parking is also available at Old Second National Bank (River Street & Galena Boulevard) and PNC Bank
(Benton Street & Broadway Avenue) with a Paramount Parking Pass. These lots are available during non banking hours only: Monday
through Friday after 6 p.m. Saturday 2 p.m. to midnight. Sunday all day until midnight. Please display your Paramount Parking pass
when using these lots. DO NOT PARK in the 5/3 Bank lot or Banco Popular Lot. YOU WILL BE TOWED. The parking pass is available for

PARAMOUNT THEATER INFO
RESTROOMS are located in the Grand Gallery on both the ground level and second floor as well as in the original location on the bottom
floor of the theater. All bathrooms in the Grand Gallery are handicap accessible.
CAFÉ & GIFT SHOP The café and gift shop will be open 1 hour prior to showtime through intermission.
FOOD/BEVERAGE SERVICE Beverages are available in the lobby before the show and at intermission. No food is allowed in the theater.
FOR PATRONS WITH WHEELCHAIRS Wheelchair seating is available on the main floor with prior notice only. Please request wheelchair
seating when purchasing your tickets.
FAMILY EMERGENCY ROOM is located on the ground level of the Grand Gallery.
LATE SEATING Out of respect for our patrons, latecomers will be seated in the back of the theater (if seating is available) until a scene
break of appropriate time in the performance as to not disturb other guests. At the scene break or intermission guests will be seated in
their designated seats.
BOOSTER SEATS FOR CHILDREN are now available on a first come, first serve basis. If you would like to request a booster seat for your
child, please ask an usher.
ASSISTIVE HEARING DEVICES Hearing assistance devices are available. Please call the Box Office at (630) 896-6666
FLASH PHOTOGRPAHY/RECORDING DEVICES are strictly prohibited. Please check any cameras or video recorders at the House

Take I-55 North to Route 59 North. Continue to New York Street. (North of Fox Valley Mall in Aurora/Naperville) and turn left. Follow
New York Street into downtown Aurora. Just past the Hollywood Casino, turn left onto River Street. (There will be a green overhead sign
that will say, Left Turn Only No Trucks). Take that left around the block, and you will come to Galena Boulevard. Turn left onto Galena.

From the Southwest:
Take route 47 North to Galena Blvd (not the traffic light which is Galena Road prior to Galena BLVD). Turn right on Galena Blvd and go 67 miles into Downtown Aurora. The Theater is on the right hand side.
