All be it a bit wet and windy; the spirits have not been dampened. I hope you all enjoyed the updates on our Facebook page. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the children of Town Farm Primary School for being such wonderful representatives on the trip. We had lots of positive feedback. Also to the staff who accompanied the Y6 children, who I am sure will appreciate a restful recovery weekend. We have been conducting home visits this week and look forward to welcoming our new children in September. As the end of the school year nears. Thank you Respect , Achieve, Aspire Issue 36 - 1st July 2016 Special Days coming up Friday 8th July: Red & White Day - pupils can wear their own clothes but they must be red & white. Pupils will pay £1 which will go to the White Lodge in Staines. The children will have an assembly on Monday 4th July explaining what White Lodge do. Tuesday 12th July: Mufti Day for Summer Fayre - pupils can wear their own clothes in exchange for items to be used on the tombola at the summer fayre. The items we need are bubble bath, wine, soft drinks, boxes of chocolates, luxury biscuits etc. New items please. All items to the class teacher please. Attendance Matters The issuing of a penalty notice for unauthorised leave of absence may be considered appropriate in the following circumstances :Unauthorised leave of absence in term time (5 days/10 sessions or more within a three month period – this need not be consecutive) without the authorisation of the school. In the case of separated parents, the penalty notice will be sent to the parent requesting leave of absence and/or taking the pupil out of school. No written warning will be given where it can be shown that the parent/carer had previously been warned of their liability to receive a Penalty Notice. Please note: Holiday will only be granted in exceptional circumstances and applications should be made in writing directly to the Head Teacher, Mr Girardot. The Penalty Notice is £60 if paid within 21 days, rising to £120 if paid between 21 days and 28 days. If not paid, the recipient will be prosecuted. Respect , Achieve, Aspire Issue 36 - 1st July 2016
