Upadhyay Manager-Human Resource Diaspark Infotech Private Limited, Indore. Director Jaipuria Institute of Management IMA International Management Conclave 2014, was an exhilarating experience; not only because it had the Amitabh Bachchan as one of the speakers but because of the entire aura that this event had created in the city. On social media, the amount of knowledge it spread and the hospitality it extended was remarkable. Events as huge as these could only be expected out of IMA's nest. And, I'm not writing this for the sake of writing; the turn up of the audience both days proves all of it. Professionals like me, who are knowledge hungry, love to network and stay updated, are lucky to have IMA in full-fledged action. Indore Management Association always strives to bring knowledge to our doorsteps, lets us meet legends of professional world and it's never falling short of number of events that it organizes round the year. Last but not the least, I've to also mention about the IMA Anthem. It gave goose bumps, quite literally, whenever it was played, it speaks volume of the enthusiasm and spirit of IMA. Looking forward to IMA International Management Conclave 2015. The galaxy of eminent speakers from diverse fields ranging from management and business to film and spirituality provided an integrated perspective for audience and helped them learn art of living and science of making a living. Besides this, the Conclave provided an opportunity to network with who's who from different walks of life. The presentations were very professional and powerful. I am confident that conclave will go a long way in branding Indore as a whole and lift the city to next orbit. Kudos.. to IMA team for organizing the Conclave. Mr. Rohit Gadia Founder & CEO CapitalVia Global Research Limited rd Mr. Rajul Bhargava Director (Technical) CHL Group of Hospitals Indore, India Simple yet powerful thought – Work the talk, something so easy to miss out. Simply talking and walking is of course not enough. To lead by example, a must for a leader, you must work the talk. Inspiring speeches, little workshops, networking – perfect mix of the essential 3 ingredients we need to refresh ourselves. This “getting back to school” experience was amazing and thank you IMA for having leaders of India share stories of their life with us. I definitely polished my skills and learned the habits of successful leaders. " It has been two years for our association and it was a privilege to be a part of IMA's 23 International Management Conclave. Like every year, the adopted theme of conclave 'Leadership Now – Work the Talk' reaffirmed quality practices by eminent leaders in the innovative world around. I was personally, inspired by Mr. Ram Charan through his leadership attributes and can still remember the pin drop silence we had in his entire speech. And that's what led me to introspect & learn! Indeed, it was a great platform with eminent speakers which provided us with an opportunity to realize what we are doing right and what could have done better. I am sure the learning's from the conclave will go a long way in strengthening the leadership role in times to come. Gathering delegates in a room and doing an event is easy, but to have key leaders, relevant theme, right audience & the right atmosphere, it needs top notch organizing and this is what IMA Team has been able to put together fanatically. It was amazingly organized and well-presented from starting of the event till valedictory session, it was the essence of the conclave and enveloped attendees in the world of IMA! I keenly look forward to next year's theme and be a part of it. Mr. Subodh Shrivastava AM-HR Diaspark Infortech Private Limited, Indore Dr. Vivek Kushwaha Director IBMR, IPS Academy Mesmerized, flabbergasted & impressed with the magnificent IMA International Conclave 2014. This was the 5th connective year that I attended IMA International Management Conclave. It was a treat & value addition to myself to attend this conclave. Could not blink my eyes off from the living legend Amitabh Bacchan, his speech, his style, his humbleness, & best was when he replied to my question. His zeal & zest at this stage of life is most inspiring for us. Rakshit Tandon's session was an eye opener for me as we being so techno savvy are not aware of the cyber threats; I have inculcated all the possible measure told by him during the conclave. “Think good for 3 minutes, speak good for 3 minutes, do good for 3 minutes & take out 9 minutes for self every day”- The guru mantra by Swami Avdeshanandji was one of the best mantra one can adopt. I appreciate & congratulate Team IMA for such a wonderful event. All what I can say is, “I will be eagerly waiting for IMA Conclave 2015”. 14 INDORE MANAGER | APRIL-JUNE - 2014 "Most of the mistakes in thinking are inadequacies of perception rather than mistakes of logic." - Edward de Bono 7 rd IMA's 23 International Management Conclave was a great opportunity indeed to witness dazzling assemblage of thoughts and illustrious gathering of brilliant leaders. It had been an invigorating experience to participate in such a dynamic event which in turn exhilarated and elated my comprehension. It was a terrific experience in interacting with such mainstay of association empowering our nation. In spite of being able to witness such eminent speakers; it had been an impeccable and unsullied experience at the conclave by means of broadening ones horizons. As the theme suggested “Leadership Now – Work the Talk” the conclave has done sheer justice to what it proliferated and has given us the opportunity to be a bystander of actions of diverse influentials. It was indeed my dispensation and privilege to be a part of this historic event and I heartily thank IMA for such a great contribution to our Indore city. Abrupt reactions and decisions that aren't well thought-out don't do you or your company any good. To prevent them, try to plan proactively and keep the big picture in mind. 3. Know & stick to your moral compass: It's easy to get swayed by great opportunities or quick fixes. Set yourself and your company up for success by knowing your boundaries. 4. Perception is king: Protect your personal reputation and brand, as well as that of your company, by building an image that's meant to last. His message to the young generation is: "Yesterday is gone. There's nothing you can do to bring it back. You can't "should've" done something. You can only DO something. Renew yourself. Release that attachment. Today is a new day!" Dream big. Be disruptive. Color outside the lines & create some of your own mantras that will keep your compass pointing north.
