inducted into the Paseo Boricua Walk of Fame
Two new star medallions commemorating the legacy and talent of Nueva Trova singer/ songwriter Roy Brown, and Salsa icon singer, Tito Nieves, attracted hundreds of residents to celebrate
the new arrivals to Division street. In front of El Quijote Bookstore (2525 W. Division St.) one
can find the medallion for Roy Brown, who has devoted himself to singing with a cause for more
than thirty years. At the new lounge, Draft (2535 W. Division St.) Tito Nieves was emotional and
awestruck as he accepted his medallion and said, “this medallion meant more” for him than a
Grammy because “this was coming from the people of this community.”
