Produced by the Champaign-Urbana Area Project, CUperStars is an American Idol-styled competition that invites young area
performers to compete in a variety of musical styles.

Katie Flynn is the premier jazz and cabaret performer in Central Illinois. Performing both polished, elegant love songs and
jazz standards, as well as a high energy cabaret with big band sensibility, Ms. Flynn and her six piece band always deliver truly
entertaining live music.
New Souls is an old-school 90s R&B, soul, funk, and hip-hop band.

Tell Mama is a high-energy soul, funk, blues, and R&B band located in Central Illinois. The group plays covers from
the 60s through today's hits along with original compositions.
Elsinore is an original rock & pop band from Champaign. Together since 2004, the band is about to release their 4th studio
album and plans to tour nationally in support of it. Elsinore's style blends many classic and modern approaches to songwriting,
production, and performance, and is most regularly compared to The Beatles, Radiohead, & The Killers.

The original King of Rap from Harlem, Kurtis Blow has been instrumental in raising up a generation of MCs, and he
will soon carry the torch for hip hop music into new arenas. In 1979, at the age of twenty, Kurtis Blow became the
first rapper to be signed by a major label. Hits include "The Breaks" and "Basketball."
The Dirty Feathers are do-it-yourself-ers. An EP, a single, and a 7” were all self-released, all recorded, and produced by the band.
They strive to convey the gritty realness of their live performances on their recordings and they are recognized for it. NPR chose
their debut, “Midnight Snakes,” as one of 2011’s top five albums on Bandcamp.

It’s fun for all and benefits the Champaign Park District’s Youth Scholarship Fund. This fund provides
opportunities for youth who are unable to participate in recreational programs due to economic hardship.
