"Ukraine Disaster Assistance Fund" (UDAF) - US

The "Ukraine Disaster Assistance Fund" (UDAF) has been created by the U.S.-Ukraine Business
Council (USUBC), Ukrainian Federation of America (UFA), Ukrainian-American Coordinating Council (UACC), U.S.Ukraine Foundation (USUF) coalition, to raise money and in-kind support from individuals, institutions, organizations
and businesses for the people, homes and villages in Western Ukraine hit in late July by what officials are calling the
worst rainstorms in a century.
UDAF is working closely with Ruslana Lyzhychko & Vitaliy Klitschko who created the International Charitable Fund
“Ukrainian Sunrise” to assit Ukrainian people at this time of hardship.

Vitali Klitschko is a deputy of the
Kyiv City Council and special Advisor
to President Yushchenko. Born in
1971, Vitali became the World Heavyweight Boxing Champion in 1999.
Along with his sport career, Dr.
Klitschko holds a PhD in Physical
Education and the UNESCO
title/award “Hero for Children.” Deputy
Klitschko’s social projects include:
promotion of a healthy, drug-free
lifestyle, fighting AIDS, children
diseases and poverty.

Member of the Parliament of Ukraine.
Prior to joining parliament, Deputy
Lyzhychko was a UNICEF Goodwill
Ambassador, and winner of the Eurovision music competition in 2004.
Deputy Lyzhychko’s social projects
include helping children who suffer
from the effects of the Chornobyl
nuclear catastrophe, combating
human trafficking, supporting
Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic integration,
and promoting energy efficiency.
