at affordable prices. Our famous RED DOTS on the sidewalks and windows will guide you along
your way.
This Art Guide and the RED DOT Art Fest & Studio Tour in October are an integral part of
the Silver City Art Association’s mission to promote and advance the arts in Silver City & Grant
County. Our RED DOT logo has become a symbol of Silver City art throughout the Region and

RED DOT ArtFest & Studio Tour, October 7 – 16, 2016
Each October, Silver City becomes a mecca for art lovers everywhere, transformed by the lure
of gallery exhibits, open studio tours, independent artists’ exhibits, special events, music,
gourmet food and the creative energy of hundreds of artists!
This year, ArtFest will encompass 10 art-filled days, featuring workshops, lectures,
demonstrations and more. A comprehensive brochure with dates and times will be available
in late summer on our website www.silvercityart.com, at gallery locations and the Silver City
Visitor Center. Opening reception, hosted by Mimbres Region Arts Council and preview show
will be held Friday, October 7 from 5–7 pm at the Seedboat Gallery.
A special treat will be the Open Studio Tour – Free self-guided tour of artists’ studios providing
an up-close and personal look into the unique creative process. Demonstrations are held at many
studios, as well as the chance to ask questions of the artists, and enjoy beautiful scenery. Many of
these studios welcome a studio visit throughout the year.
