The roadheader is equipped with electrical engines manufactured by the
DAMEL factory, certified in conformity
with IEC-60079 standards and new
electrohydraulic distributors manufactured by the Bosch – Retrox companies covered by ATEX certificates.
The following curious constructional
solutions are applied in the KTW-200
roadheader to cope with competitiveness and meet customers’ expectations:
• alternative option of operation either
manually or by radio remote control
up to 15m;
• programmable cutting;
• roadheader positioning system in the
gallery axis, together with leveling
• sector spraying system;
• roadheader cooperation system with
control and visualization stand located 50m away from behind
the roadheader (optional- in case of
rock outburst hazard);
• cutting drum two-gear transmission
• Scraper conveyor chain two-gear

it is possible to register and reconstruct its
selected working parameters for the last two
The KTW-200 is also equipped with running
parameters transmission system on the surface
through either cable or optical fiber networks.
The KTW-200 roadheader is designed for driving galleries of cross-section area amounting to 35.5 sqm.
It is capable of mining rocks whose compressive strength amounts to 110 MPa.
The roadheader can be operated in coal mines or used for f tunneling.
Bit blocks with injector air suction are used in the KTW-200; they ensure proper spark suppression
and reduction in dustiness.
Water batteries mounted on the arm and cutting drums with built in sector distributor produce
water spray curtain. Total spraying system capacity amounts to ca. 65 lpm.

The KTW-200 roadheader position in the gallery with roof support arches in the range from ŁP11/V/25/A
to ŁP14/V/25/Ais shown in the drawing below. When galleries of different cross-section areas are driven,
special and approved versions of railings, working platforms and operator stand shields will have to be used.
