OMAR HIKAL
Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder
Omar Hikal became the CEO of Archimedia in 2010. Prior to that, he was the COO from 2004.
His role involved overseeing the day to day running of the company’s operations, the technical
standards used by Archimedia’s engineering teams and the development of the Archimedia
brand. His primary focus continues to be on ensuring that Archimedia is consistently delighting
and impressing its clients with solutions that are thoughtfully designed and flawlessly executed.
Before joining Archimedia, Omar held various positions in Information Technology, Sales,
Marketing and General Management.
Omar holds a Business degree from Boston University’s School of Management and,
subsequently, attended executive management programs at INSEAD and the Senior Executive
Program at Harvard Business School. In addition, Omar is a CEDIA Certified System Design
Professional and has attended training at Crestron’s Technical Institute in programming and
system design.
PETER AYLETT
Technical Director
Peter is a globally-respected residential technology expert, with 23 years’ experience in
the sector. Having spent much of his career working for some of the UK’s most respected
technology integrators, Peter was recently distinguished with the role of Director of Professional
Development for CEDIA, and his expertise in industry standards, education, certification and
general technology trends is unparalleled. As a result Peter is in demand as a speaker and
lecturer in residential technology, and in 2012 he led courses and inspirational seminars across
Europe, China, Australia, New Zealand, North America and the Middle East.
Peter also chairs CEDIA’s Applied Content Action Team as part of their internationally-acclaimed
Technology Council. The Council is responsible for keeping all CEDIA members and affiliates
abreast of developments in the fastmoving custom electronics industry. He also writes ‘bleeding
edge’ industry white papers, in addition to contributing toward the continued development of
industry excellence education programs.Peter ensures that Archimedia continuously delivers
the highest performing integrated systems in a way that enables end-users to embrace
technology and the digital world around them.
Peter graduated from Oxford Brookes University with a B.Eng. in Mechanical and Production
Engineering in 1990. He holds multiple CEDIA certifications as well as ISF and HAA accreditation.

HALIM GREISS
Regional Director of Business Development
Halim Greiss is one of the region’s most innovative and respected residential system designers,
as well as an accomplished project manager and consultant. His work can be found in the
homes of royalty, VIPs and connoisseurs throughout the region. He has been with Archimedia
since 2003 and has been pivotal in Archimedia’s becoming one of the industry’s most respected
companies, both regionally and internationally.
Halim started his career with Bang and Olufsen in Egypt and was one of the region’s highest
producing salesmen during his time with them. He has since been involved in many of the
region’s most complex integrated solutions, including luxury yachts, palaces and multi-dwelling
residential compounds.
Halim graduated from the American University in Cairo with a degree in Political Science and
Economics in 1998 and has attended extensive industry training at CEDIA, Crestron Technical
Institute and Bang & Olufsen.

AHMED REFAI
General Manager
Ahmed Refai joined Archimedia in 2010 bringing with him 10 years of experience in the
Information Communication & Technology Industry. He has worked in various reputable
organizations such as Procter & Gamble, Raya Integration, Internet Security Systems and
Vodafone. During his career Ahmed has gained experience not only in Sales, but also in
Partner Channel Management, Strategy & Business Development and Operations process
improvement.
Ahmed has a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from AIU in Los Angeles.

ADEL EL DEFRAOUI
Regional Director of Operations
Adel is currently employed as the Regional Director of Operations. Previously he was
the Development Manager for Alutec, a leading aluminum manufacturer in Egypt. As
the Development Manager Adel was responsible for the advancement of manufacturing
processes, as well as, corporate restructuring, contract review and communication with
clients. Prior to that Adel was a Zone Manager with SODIC, one of the leading Real Estate
Investment Companies in Egypt.
His Operational experience extends from being an Operations Manager for over a year,
during which he oversaw the design and construction of SODIC’s new business office. As
a Zone Manager, his responsibilities shifted to managing the development of the Allegria
Compound with regards to its design, roads, infrastructure and construction.
Adel’s extended experience in the field of Operations and Project Management, coupled
with his knowledge of entertainment and technology made him an ideal fit for the role of
Archimedia’s Director of Operations.
Adel graduated from the American University in Cairo with a B.Sc. in Construction
Engineering and Management.

SHERIF EL DAHSHAN
General Manager
Sherif Dahshan joined Archimedia in February 2010 after working in the audiovisual and
automation industry for more than 10 years between Saudi Arabia and Egypt. Being
familiar with worldwide suppliers for audiovisual and automation systems, coupled with his
passion for entertainment and attention to detail, made him a perfect fit for Archimedia’s
Operations Management.
As the General Manager, Sherif was responsible for managing and ensuring smooth
project life cycles - starting from ideas on papers to execution and delivery – always
making sure we meet the level of quality that would satisfy our clients.
Sherif’s dedication to Archimedia, coupled with his tremendous knowledge of the company
and market let to his promotion in 2012 and his current position of General Manager.
Sherif holds a Bachelor degree in Communication engineering, and has attended design
& programming courses for Lighting & Automation systems.
SHADY PETRO
Operations & Sales Manager (Egypt)
Shady joined Archimedia Egypt in 2012 as the Projects Manager. Shady had managed
projects in the MEA, Europe and US regions in his past experience. Shady’s past projects
focused on IT & Telecommunications, Audio & Video and Home Automation. Shady was
promoted to the Operations Manager post of the Egypt business unit in 2013. Shady is
also a musician and has quite the experience in live and studio Pro-Audio.
Shady is responsible for the different phases of the project from the inception to closure
while ensuring timely and efficient execution keeping Archimedia’s and international
standards, along with customer satisfaction while handling the running operations of the
business unit. Shady holds a certificate of Project Management (PMP) from the Project
Management Institute (PMI). He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer
Science and Business Management.
Shady also holds an EST2 Certificate from CEDIA making him a certified outreach Instructor.

ALI BOUKILI
Managing Partner
Ali has spent much of his career working in the UK for a renowned IT consultant that counted
some of the world’s largest multinational companies among its clients. He specialised in
leading the implementation of large and complex mission-critical information systems,
and Ali was recognised very early on as a talented team leader due to his hands-on
approach and ability to coach others. As both a successful entrepreneur and proven
business manager, Ali has chosen the residential home entertainment and automation
industry as a channel for his IT expertise. The rapid adoption of household technology
coupled with Morocco’s rapid real estate development generated an opportunity that Ali
could not ignore and led to the establishment of Archimedia in Morocco.
Ali holds a post-graduate degree in Information Systems Management from the London
School of Economics. Before that he had attended the Al-Akhawayn University in Morocco
as well as the South Bank University in London, where he obtained an Honours degree in
Business Studies.

Managing Partner
Hani Haddad has been the Managing Director of A&H Construction and Development for
the past 10 years. A&H is one of the leading development companies in Lebanon. Hani
is also a founder and Managing Partner of Exhibit H, a holding company which owns
exclusive rights to sell Siematic Kitchens in Lebanon, as well as provide solutions in the
fields of home automation and system integration. Exhibit H will soon join the Archimedia
family as it will be opening an Archimedia Showroom in Beirut.
Hani holds a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from McGill University.

RANI HADDAD
Managing Director
Rani Haddad has been the CFO/Owner of A&H Construction and Development for 5
years. A&H is one of the leading companies in Lebanon. In addition Rani is the founder
and Managing Director of Exhibit H, a holding company which owns exclusive rights to sell
