A common experience in Ateneo: You’re
seated at a table, eating, when suddenly you
hear a loud, unmistakable voice speaking;
you turn around, and sure enough, Marianne
Abella is there. But you don’t just turn
around. You turn around smiling, wishing
she’d come sit down with you for a while.
Because that big voice delivers both fun
conversation and priceless advice. Because
that quick, billion-watt smile comes with
great times and genuine friendship. Because
Marianne’s one of a kind, a true gem of a
person, someone who will make you laugh
and have your back, someone you can tease
while sharing your secrets with, someone
who’s beautiful and intelligent and caring all
at the same time.
By hook or by crook, Miguel Abellada gets
whatever he wants—and he knows it. This
unwavering drive, however, must not be
mistaken for arrogance. Abe, as his friends
fondly call him, is simply confident and that
is what makes him so lovable. In academics,
sports, or even in his love life, he resiliently
overcomes any obstacle without losing
that irresistible grin on his face. Seeing this,
many rely on Miguel for earnest advice
on anything and everything—the brutal
bluntness and candor that has proven to
be quite necessary at times, and even a
wise crack that you could hate him for but
you just can’t. Through the years, ingenuity
with a sense of fun is a formula that he has
indubitably mastered—one that has secured
his place on the track to success. Because
after all, by hook or by crook, Miguel
Abellada gets whatever he wants. Alam Na!

say people always love the crazy girl.
You will never know how true this is until
you meet Grace. She claims to hate the
cheesy while obsessing over John Lloyd.
Always shy and reserved at first (the first
ten minutes, at least), she has powers
of charm which never fail to amaze.
Adventurous and fun-loving, she spews
out brilliant ideas at random times of the
day. Someone who will always have our
back, Grace is an extremely good listener.
A dependable and confident lady who’s
a precious blessing to her friends and
family, she is one of the most endearingly
down-to-earth people you’ll ever know.
This girl will teach you how to scream your
lungs out, and then laugh your heart out
afterward. She does all these while baking
a cake and studying for an oral exam.
In every job that must be done, there is
an element of fun. You find the fun, and –
SNAP! – the job’s a game.”

Kay is a driven individual who performs
excellently in various situations. She
indeed knows how to budget her time and
produce outstanding results. A charismatic
organization officer, a passionate
entrepreneur, and one of the top students
in the School of Management, Kay
exemplifies an all-out achiever. Not only
does Kay possess brilliance and versatility,
she has a fun and bubbly personality to
boot. Her witty remarks and amusing
expressions will surely crack you up. Most
of all, Kay never fails to remain down-toearth and approachable. She has the gift
of inspiring people by being a positive
influence to them. With all these under her
belt, she definitely has a promising future
ahead.
Because you know that even 50, 100 years
from now, when you hear her voice, you’ll
always turn around, you’ll always ask her to
sit down, and you’ll always have a good time.

Her bubbly face is the perfect epitome

“From a distance you will already notice
this boy’s presence. It may be because of
the sound of his DJ-like voice from the
other side of the room, his model-like strut,
or basically just because of his personality
that makes you feel whole when no one
is around. People will be surprised to
discover that Luigi one of the most downto-earth men out there. No ifs, no buts, no
pretensions; just the truth, and nothing but
the truth. Yet he remains focused on his
responsibilities. In short, Luigi is definitely
a Prince of True Friends!”
It’s hard to miss a lovely face in a crowd,
not to mention the curves. But don’t be
fooled, she eats a lot; a lot might even be
an understatement. One would probably
assume that with good looks as hers, this
heartthrob won’t have the intellect to
match, but Nicole is the exception to the
rule. Beauty and brains is nothing if one
does not have the personality to boot.
Luckily, she’s all that, plus she’s one hell of
a friend to have – crazy and ridiculous – yet
sweet and exceptionally true. One might
also say that she is critical, a perfectionist
of some sort. She may seem like the
snobbish or serious type, but you’ll later
find out that she’s welcoming, and there’s
a wacky side to her! She can easily laugh
at jokes and sometimes, or rather, always
makes a fool out of herself. This girl’s also
a very balanced individual – a walking
banner for “study hard, party harder.”
Unfortunately, Victor is the complete
opposite of his name. He is an
undistinguished follower. He neither has
noble visions nor sensibilities for the poor.
He’s not even full of himself because he has
no personality and knows nothing about
human relationships. The sad thing is he
really tries to be likeable. But his jokes are
just annoying. Every time he opens his
motuh, something in me snaps. If being
pathetic was the basis for looks, he’d be the
handsomest guy on the planet! When you
feel depressed, a moment with him makes
you realize that as long as you’re not like him,
things are going to be okay. He makes you
thank God for every moment he’s not there.
Let him talk to you and you’ll feel better
about yourself. He is a muffler that makes
everything dull and dumb. Plus, he thinks
he’s maangas, but he is about as tough as a
marshmallow. – Pinnochio.
Ady can be compared to a model wearing
a sheer dress with a pair of stilettos and
a clutch bag, strutting on the runway.
Aside from having a fervor for fashion
and bewitching beauty, the sheer dress
represents Ady’s personality as straightforward and open-minded, candid but
never tactless. She has on a pair of stilettos
in order to have a better view of the world,
and her experiences include organizing
numerous org events, spending a semester
in France, and opening a business in
school. The stilettos make her look
sophisticated as Ady is known to present
herself well. The clutch signifies that Ady
is protective of what means most to her.
She values her family and friends for she is
caring by nature. Ady is a great girl full of
potential, and when this model walks into
one’s life, one will realize how fabulous the
world can be.
Touching lives, improving life. That is
precisely the motto that Jan seems to live by.
Anybody who knows her would invariably
attest to the fact that their lives had been
touched by this strong and determined
spirit. Whether it is her occasional mulishness
or her candid outspokenness, she can be
said to be one of the truest people one will
ever meet. Though one might perceive
her personality to be a clash between
reservation and affability, or even between
utmost seriousness and simple vivacity,
it is only fair that one recognizes Jan as a
balanced, sensible individual who is able
to reach out to the world around her, while
remaining grounded in her own principles.
Inspiring and bonding others by her mere
presence, this certain Jan Ang is geared for
nothing but the brightest of futures. Indeed,
the odds of this gamble are in favor of
Proctor & Gamble.
Steven Ang – “Steb” as many of his friends
call him, may seem to be very serious and
soft-spoken guy at first. But when you
get to know him better, you would see a
person who loves to crack jokes. Many of
his antics come from his innate sense of
humor which what makes him a person
who’s very enjoyable to be with. Indeed,
he is a funny guy inside and out.
The influence and bond of friendships
that Ateneo gave me are treasures that I’ll
cherish forever. I’m sad that it’s about to
end, but it will be always the school that I
choose and it will be something that I will
gladly carry forever!
Though often times he may seem to be
quiet and sleepyhead in class, don’t count
out his intellectual and analytical skills. As
the classic saying goes, “Silent waters run
deep.” Steb definitely possesses a mind of
a great strategist – perfect for his major.
He would definitely go a long way with a
perfect and unique mix of his personality
and intelligence.

For a guy who can scale buildings and
leap from great, great heights, Jonathan
Angel is pretty, well, deep. When he’s not
doing parkour twenty feet off the ground,
Tam hangs out (surprise surprise) in the
library – flipping through out-of-place
issues of Gentleman’s Quarterly or even
writing down his philosophical musings.
When he’s not doing that, Tam can be
found doing a number of things, including
(but not limited to) taking photographs,
making the most of natural light,
laundering his sneakers, tuning up his car,
unbuttoning the top part of his polo shirt
for no reason at all, dancing way better
than his girlfriend, or downloading hiphop songs a year before they even become
famous.
Her name may be common but this
Anna is anything but ordinary. She’s
that tall, slender, fashionista sporting a
Rihanna-ish hairstyle; she’s that smart
girl in your Accounting class who arrives
late yet manages to set the curve; she’s
the master of mean jokes who delivers
them flawlessly. Sophisticated. Dauntless.
Intimidating. Her over-all presence cuts
through air making others too coy to dare
try. But fear not! There’s another side to
her. The lean and mean eating machine;
the thriftiness except on shopping; the
sheer dislike for sports; the attachment
to her ancient pillow; the river she cried
two days after being away from home;
the loyalty to her friends; the concern
for a friend she just drowned on booze;
the cat fights and exchanges of silliness.
This is Anna to those who know her well.
Sensible. Unpretentious. Beautiful.
In pursuit of finding one’s passion (that
one thing to live and breathe) one must
endure the highs and lows, the wrong
turns and the missed entrances. While
others have their passions predetermined,
others take their entire lives finding it.

moments of laughter, tears, stress, and

St. John B. can be described as a “human
calculator.” He is very good in Math (that’s
why did not have to take Ma 11). However,
his “calculations” do not end here for he
is able to calculate just how much effort
he needs to exert in order to get what he
wants and he gets it right almost 90% of
the time.
Hans is the type of guy who never seems
stressed amidst all the pressures of college
life. Management is a second nature to
him. Breathing becomes synonymous to
thinking up business plans. His aura in the
conference room is intimidating but being
his friend would allow you to glimpse in his
eyes a little boy in a man’s body. Spending
time with him, whether on a movie
marathon or on a long drive, you get to
witness a different side of him.
Yo. Told you this Angel was fly!
This short story is about a boy, his passion,
and how his passion found him.
It took one persistent friend, a sign-up
sheet, and a lead role in a musical theatre
organization in Ateneo for him to find
himself, worlds away from balance sheets.
Reb met the theatre bug and it bit him.
Real hard.
3 years, 7 productions later, Reb is closer
to his passion than ever before, knowing
that this has changed his life. His love for
the stage transcends, making him, not only
a passionate artist, but also a passionate
student, friend, son, grandson, and brother
altogether.
He spends most of his time doing what he
likes best: playing the guitar, and he is so
good at this. Also, he has been able to run
a decent business on trading of musical
equipment. John B. is such a happy-golucky guy that he does not seem to have
any problems and he always seems to have
a trick up his sleeve. His jokes (although
not that funny at times) still bring out the
cheerfulness this guy has. In the end, he
simply wants to have fun.
Hans is a tough guy to describe as no
words can completely sum him up in his
entirety. One thing that will consistently
come up in his descriptions, however,
is “teddy”. He is the perfect teddy bear,
huggable and gentle, just right for
comfort.

athlete, Mr. Boombastic, Kevo the Nerdo,
the swimming manager, chismoso, well
rounded, silent but deadly, quiet listener,
good-humored…”
Ysel is the easiest person you’ll ever get
along with. The word “stranger” doesn’t
apply to her, and besides that, she just
exudes her true self naturally.
“Minister Joke Time, food critic, leader,
friend.” These are a few words that describe
Neil. He is one of P4’s official events
organizer. Articulate and opinionated, he
is an excellent public speaker who surely
knows how to spontaneously express his
ideas and impress people. Responsible,
skilled, and driven, he leads those around
him with vigorous energy and a mind that
always thinks two steps ahead. As a friend,
he always makes a great effort to make you
feel truly special. Thoughtful and caring, he
takes the extra mile to help friends in need.
You’ll enjoy sharing jokes, stories & tales,
and the wonders of food with him. He’ll
cheer you up even if he just has an inkling
feeling that you’re down, and boost up the
fun in times of joy. As Block P4 and friends
would say, “He is ONE BIG NEIL! “ Thank you
mom, dad, bro, family, and good friends for
everything!
The Perfect Panda Pie –
guaranteed to make you crazy
Ralph or Cach, to most of his friends, cannot
easily be described or encapsulated. You
have to experience firsthand what The
Cach is all about. Some say, it’s his illogical
yet funny hirits and actions that make him
unique. For others, it’s his passion for flashin’
in parties and the like. For his barkada, he is a
friend who is always there to make everyone
laugh and mind you, this guy knows how
to listen and share his thoughts when the
tough gets going. Honestly, you might
have seen him and his barkada bumming at
the benches along SEC walkway, laughing
their heads off and staring at whatever they
please. But beneath all those childish actions,
there’s a Cach that’s all about something
deeper and true. Cach is full of surprises and
a side of him still remains hidden. Believe
me; you should get to know Cach because
he’s more than meets the eye.

These are some of the things that come
to mind when people see me. I guess it’s
interesting to see what I’ve become after
4 years in the Ateneo. And now that it’s all
coming to an end, I’d like to give my thanks
to the school and its people for taking care
of me for 4 years. Thanks to my friends and
family for being there when I need them.
And special thanks to the Lord; who I know
has never left my side throughout my life.
This one heck of a super girl manages to
juggle her academics, social life, family
and even affairs of the heart gracefully,
more so, successfully. Such isn’t a surprise
for a driven woman who shows passion
in everything she gets involved with. I
guess this doesn’t make it easy for us to
kick it off with her, rather it’s simply easy
for her to show love for us. She’s one
person who knows how to love what she
has unconditionally. I’ve seen her get hurt,
stumble and fall; yet she keeps her heart
firmly in place to fight for a resolution
rather than claim a surrender.
1. In a bowl, place 200 lbs of fat, a
scientist’s brain and a loud mouth. Mash
together.
2. In a separate bowl, mix 2 cups of
creative juice, 1 writer’s block, 1 liter black
ink, a strong subversive streak, and an ego
straight from a superhero’s underpants.
Pour into the Fat-Brain mash and allow to
settle for an hour.
3. Place the medical history of an Arkham
Asylum inmate, a pinch of selfishness, a
page from a fantasy book and a spoonful
of pride into a blender. Blend until frothy.
4. Place the Fat-Brain mixture into a baking
pan. Then pour the blended mixture on
top. Garnish with an all-seeing eye (leaf of
arrogance, optional). Place the pan into an
oven and bake until crispy. Always serve
hot.

A pretty face matched with the
sophistication of an elitist and the charm of
a girl next door, Frankie has surely turned
quite a few heads and broken more than a
couple of hearts.
But don’t be fooled, though. She may look
innocent—timid even—but she’s a tiger,
the epitome of a go-getter, sweet and
easygoing, yet determined and skilled at
the same time.
Despite her being a rebel without a cause,
with an affinity for breaking the rules,
she deftly backs this up with a talent for
talking her way out of trouble.
Nothing is truly difficult or impossible for
her to achieve.
When Frankie sets her mind on to
something, there’s no question that she
will get it.
She will undoubtedly go places—a girl
who surely has a lot ahead of her, with a
whole world just waiting.
Four years of college and he’s still the same
old Greg. He still does and says the same
things as if time didn’t pass him by. He still
wears that same plain t-shirt and jeans
getup. He still wastes the better part of the
day with his friends talking about everything
and nothing. He still studies until the break
of dawn and has the grades to prove it. He
still zones out when he prays before and
after meals. He still listens to music every
single time he can. He still manages to
make people laugh at what he says. He’s
still down-to-earth and humble despite all
his blessings. He’s still the same guy who’ll
always stand up for the right thing. In a
world of rapid change, we all need someone
like Greg – someone we can count on,
someone we can find joy with, and someone
who reminds us that there are good people
in the world. Greg’s still the same – and the
world’s a better place for that.
After 15 years of juggling school and
football, Gerard’s time has finally come to
an end. All the effort exerted has proven
him to be a superb student-athlete
beyond comparison. For those who know
him well, you surely must have noticed
that fire in his heart which allows him to
pursue anything that he desires. Driven
to succeed academically and physically
on the field, Gerard’s focus is, without a
doubt, of an uncompromising and willful
desire for the best. An amiable personality,
honorable, dependable, and never failing
to set that tight bond of camaraderie and
friendship—he is open to anyone and
everyone. His foresight on the future is
impeccable, and this being said, it proves
that he will go out after college being
nothing less than prepared. If anything,
Gerard is a man who will transcend beyond
all expectations.

Ji Wen Zi always thinks through many
times before he acted.
Upon hearing this, Confucius said: “Twice
will suffice.”
Outgoing and daring are probably the
words to describe Daniel’s personality.
He’s just that person who’s very good
at making friends. One simple “hello”
could turn quick chats into really good
conversations. And if there is one thing
that will keep this man talking, it’s music,
his passion, and bass-playing, his medium
of expression. That’s why in everything
that he does, it’s as if you hear him play a
great melody on his bass – it will always
be the best. But what keeps this guy
grounded is his value and love for his
family, and, of course, Jesus Christ. He is
greatly amazed and humbled at how God
has been transforming him through the
years. Looking to the future, his prayer
is to be used mightily by God, and be a
blessing and inspiration to others for His
glory. “We walk by faith, not by sight.” - 2
Corinthians 5:7
Right now, there really is no starting point
to describe Marco (aka Carbs, Romerico or
Carbonelli). And that’s not such a bad thing.
Could it be that he’s just really larger than life
(in more ways than one)? Well, not exactly.
Or maybe, he’s just too complicated a person
to write about? That may probably be it.
But then again, there’s nothing complicated
about, let’s say, seeing him smile, hearing
him passionately talk about video games,
sharing his realistic view of the world or
simply empathizing with him about life. Is
he then just too hard to understand to start
with? Not so. He may have a video-game
junkie aura but it’s clear he has his priorities
and values in good check. Simply, there is
no start that is enough to capture all these.
But one is coming real soon. It will be worth
the entire wait. For sure it’s going to be
great, no, incredible. A sweet finish to who
he is.

“Hides behind her words.” From the
description posted on Mica’s blog, you
would think she’s the classic introvert. The
type who goes up to the third floor of the
library to study and has a small set of close
friends she always hangs out with. That
she is. But there’s so much more to Mica
than would ever meet the eye. She’s the
one person you’d really want to tell your
stories and express your beliefs and feelings
to because she makes you feel valuable.
She knows just what to say without being
judgmental. A Math genius, budding
entrepreneur and adept writer, she’s
intellectually gifted as well. But of course,
no description would be complete without
her quirks: getting surprised easily, starting
a paper early then cramming to finish it,
skipping when frustrated and blurting out
offhand but funny comments. All of those
add up to create the stunning package that
is Mica Carino.
Contrary to popular belief, men’s lives are
not just about sports, alcohol and girls.
Geli is a pint-sized wonder. She may be
shorter and younger than the average
senior, but her heart is far bigger than
most. Geli laughs easily, prays a lot,
and gives more than is necessary. This
overflowing generosity has characterized
most of Geli’s college life. From org work
to academics to her college friends, Geli
freely gives herself and selflessly shares her
talents. It’s not uncommon to find Diana
seemingly dreamy and detached from
everything as if consumed in her own
world. That’s because Diana is a true
dreamer. She dreams big and works hard
to achieve those dreams. And though it
may sometimes be difficult to hold on
to these fantastical yet possible realities,
she is always able to keep up with the
obstacles and make sure that she’s always
up to par, such that one day, her dreams
would be fulfilled.
Most people know Santini Chanto as the
president of the largest organization in the
Ateneo, or the consistent dean’s lister. But
there is so much more to him than that.
Tini, as his friends call him, always puts
his 100% in everything that he does, and
that is without exaggeration. What sets
him apart from the rest is his passion and
will to excel. For his achievements can
be attributed to his motivation to seize
every opportunity that comes his way. A
man of integrity, loyalty and faith, Santini’s
values and priorities have enabled him
to make the right decisions in life. This
sincere determination by Tini has led
to nothing but success, as well as total
praise and respect by his friends. Santini
is determined on proving himself to the
world and is set on making a difference.
IMBC. Problems don’t seem to bother this
guy, for he just laughs it off. Really, a Mr.
Brightside. He is a free spirit; possessing
a headstrong personality and radiating
an aura of being a slacker of the highest
degree. He prefers socializing over
philosophizing, playing basketball over
sitting through a Macroeconomics class,
or hanging out with his barkada rather
than cramming for an exam. But that
does not necessarily mean that he is one
of those people who just crawl through
four years of college. On the contrary, he
makes a killing on his academics. This may
be due to an uncanny string of retarded
luck or that he simply is an exceptionally
intelligent guy. Either way, he can be
referred to as the “Captain of the Clutch”,
who gets the job done when the need
arises.
Contrary to popular belief, men still do
open doors for ladies, give up their seats
for the elderly and tell their girlfriends that
they look beautiful every single day.
Contrary to popular belief, men still
consider Sundays to be days spent in the
company of their families.
Contrary to popular belief, men are not
really jerks. They are gentle, sensitive, and
patient human beings.
(Thank God for those exceptions who are
able to prove us wrong.)
She is one of those special people who
holds strong to her faith and stands by
her principles no matter what. This strong
sense of morality has served as a guide to
her even in the direst situations. All these make Geli a truly remarkable and
well-loved person!

This cutie is a rare friend indeed. She is
really approachable and has both arms
wide open to welcome you all the time.
Surely, an apple’s sweetness pales when
compared to this apple. When you’re in
a jam, come to her and she’ll do her best
to help you out. She doesn’t just have
an exceptional beauty that dazzles the
hallways; she also has an apple shaped
heart that is so genuine and true. Beware
of her intoxicatingly contagious smile that
could brighten up your day. She’s always
full of life so you can’t help but be blissful
when she’s around. Surely, her personality
is what makes her one of a kind. If there
is just one word to describe her, then
the most fitting would be the word,
“AMAZING”.
College life would never be the same
without Jess. Every encounter with
her is unforgettable and will probably
render you temporarily speechless.
And why not? Her self-satisfied smirk
and loose stance reflect her gung-ho
attitude and confidence. Her sincere and
straightforward approach is sometimes
mistaken as katarayan and her ability to
solve absurd mathematical problems as
ka-swertehan. Jess is ambitious and highly
motivated, but that doesn’t stop her from
having fun. Her number one recreation
is Shopping. Madly in love with life, she
likes to enjoy it whichever way she can,
one day at a time. Rarely worried, not even

A girl who’s more concerned of satiating
her ever-grumbling tummy than getting

She started out as a green archer at heart
and ended up falling madly, deeply in love
with Ateneo because of the great friends
she gained and loved. Though she did not
only gain new friends in college, but also

she was able to overcome every possible
obstacle thrown her way during her 4
years in Ateneo. One thing noticeable

10 Things I hate about Jo Bro:
What do Batman, Spiderman and Poco
have in common? Nothing. Although the 2
superheroes selflessly save the world using
their superhuman powers, they still hide
behind their identities to save mankind. This
is exactly why Poco is different. Most people
may see him as someone selfless; he’d put
others’ needs before his. A lot of times you’ll
see him around different groups of people
and I assure you that he has willingly helped
each and every one of them from the past.
Some may describe him as someone wise
beyond his years; he enjoys learning new
things and loves to share what he knows
humbly. But unlike those 2 superheroes,
you’ll never catch Poco hiding behind a
mask. What you see is what you get, and a
lot of times even more. It would be unjust
to describe Poco merely as a good friend
because to most, he is that one true friend
you can always count on.
People will eventually forget who got the
highest mark in Philosophy or who topped
the Marketing, but people will never forget
the classmate with the charming smile and
sweet nature: Rachel. Rachel or Rach, is
more than just a pretty face. Her diligence
manifests her values towards education,
her ever-encouraging family, and her bright
future. She works hard despite trials in
order to achieve her goals. She is a girl filled
with hopes and dreams, and possesses the
courage to reach for the stars. Her passionate
nature for success, independence, and for

always find her smiling and laughing with
friends on campus. She is very animated.
It’s always a pleasure to hear her tell a
story as she brings it to life in her gestures
and facial expressions. Her friends know
her as “Mommy” because of her nurturing
disposition. No matter what, she will always
take care of you and look after you. She’s the
best friend anyone can have because she will
stay by your side no matter what. Arts and
Crafts are her passion, which closely rivals
her love for shoes. Underneath this energetic
façade is a very deep woman. Her will is
very strong. There is an unshakable strength
that runs deep within her being. The way

statements, he is a true friend and

It’s clearly hard to get to know Mariel – that
snobbish yet mischievous look still leaves
a lot of people hanging on the real score
behind the girl who has achieved so much.
Every little first impression of her is always
an opposition of how she really is. While that
meek and simple stature doesn’t look like it,
Mariel is never content with simplicity. She
has the power to create statements within
her in all aspects. That Little-Miss-I’m-Nice
figure is not one to fool people as well – she
knows when and how to have real fun in the
best ways with the best people. With her
spontaneity and energy, she merely stands
out among the rest – sans the height – and
has so much little surprises to offer every
time you see her. All this, plus that dimpled
smile, and you’ll have a complete package of
Mariel that will always remain unimaginably
amazing. Indeed, good things come in small
packages.
Jomi’s college life is all about discovering
more about himself and learning how
to effectively manage his strengths and
weaknesses.

Freshman year was not easy for him being
in the stage of exploring his new home in
college. There were good and bad times,
but the year ended up well for him. In his
sophomore year, he discovered that he
had a talent and passion for the numbers
of Management. This was when he first
saw a vision of his future career. In his
junior year, he realized his weaknesses not
only as a student, but also as a person.
It was the hardest phase of his college
life, but it was necessary. Finally in his
senior year, he became more aware of his
capability to do good with what he can do.
For him, this is the most important lesson
he learned from college.
But despite the competent and on-thego character that Soph usually exudes,
there’s really more to her than what
meets the eye. She possesses a much
wider array of personalities than you have
ever thought of– from the music loving
soprano, to the protective big sister, and
even to being the best buddy to her
mom. Indeed, appearance captures the
eyes but personality wins over the heart –
something to which Soph serves for as a
living testimony.

Strolling along the dull hallway, Margie
whips out her paintbrush and splatters
the rainbow across the black-and-white
walls. There’s no need for a magic wand
when her very presence is enough to make
you smile. A certified Snickers addict, we
wonder if this is her fuel for sweetness.
Energy perhaps? Ready for anything, no
adventure is too daring for her to handle.
Cruising waves, scaling rocks, or jumping
off a cliff, she defies all limits.
It’s hard to believe almost four years has
passed since I first stepped into the Ateneo.
Everything seems to coalesce into one big blur
that defined college life for me, the ADMU and
CERSA OrSems, NSTP and JEEP, the JTA and the
hellsem that came with it, the UAAP games,
the dorm parties. More important than this
big blur, however, are the people who came
with it, the people whom I have experienced
this blur with. These are the people who made
me realize I can be a great friend who can help
them get through difficult times. These are
the people who inspired me to do my best and
not to settle for anything less, who reminded
me that I had it in me all along to make my
dreams a reality. These are the people who I
laughed, danced, cried and lived the best days
of my life with. Life will definitely have more
uncertainties in store for me but one thing’s
for sure, my stay in the Ateneo has given me an
experience that will last me a lifetime.
Celine is called “Tenacious Dee” for reasons
far more complicated than honoring Jack
Black’s music. True to her nickname, Celine
is an OC go-getter who does it her way
and does it well. She balances org, studies,
family, friends, and co-owning Bora
Burger, without compromising quality and
personality. She is a person who fights
for herself, her friends, and for what she
thinks is right, with a sense of loyalty and
a fighting spirit that people have come to
admire.
You could have easily passed her over
for one of the many in plain tees and
jeans. Add the requisite glasses, and quiet
demeanor and you have Issa during the
first half of college.
He walks to the court half-hoping he will
win, and half-hoping he won’t make a fool
of himself hitting those orange balls with
his paddle. He takes a moment, breathes
deeply, and concentrates on the Taraflex
floor on which he would soon take five
steps at to reach the table. He looks at the
bleachers where his friends and family
are all rooting for him-- digicams in hand,
pointer fingers ready to press on that
silver button to capture his picture-worthy
athletic stance. And he thinks to himself,
“Damn. I still have my orals tomorrow.”
He moves and wins the game in lightning
speed.
In 0.03 seconds flat, Google was able to
come up with 560,000,000 distinct sites
in its attempt to make sense of “Mac”.
Had Google known Mac beyond his
name’s simple alphabetic permutation,
it would’ve understood that the perfect
definition does not exist. Mac is an
adventurer and a trailblazer who lives life
with a passion. He laughs wholeheartedly,
he loves unconditionally, and he gives
unselfishly. He sees the world with a kind
of romanticism, but lives it with a clear
sense realism that only experience can
teach. There is no one definition because
confining him to the finiteness of words
simply understates him and renders any
definition worthless. He is destined for
greatness because he believes he is. And I
have no doubt in my mind and heart that

Seeing the world through rainbowcolored contact lenses, this modern-day
superwoman’s main mission is to touch
lives. There is no doubt that if friendship
were a play, Margie would take center
stage. So watch out world! With her sexy
confidence, brilliant mind, and dimpled
smile, Margie will color the world one
Staedtler pen at a time.
More importantly, despite having a good
head on her shoulders and the heart and
soul to match, Celine keeps her two feet
planted firmly on the ground. With this
excellent combination, mixed with her
quirky taste for pink gadgetry, cute office
supplies, rare candies, and gift-wrapping,
the possibilities are truly endless, just as
they are truly Celine.
BUT don’t let yourself be fooled into
thinking that she’s still that same simple
person. She has discovered the power
of dressing up for one. And as with
everything that she does, Issa gives at least
a 110%. She can gracefully breeze through
consecutive meetings, presentations, long
tests and orals, and still find time to do the
things she is passionate about – and that’s
something not everybody can do. She is
a great student and a better friend. She is
the one person you would want on your
side in any given situation. Issa is a part of
the lives of many – the same reason why

Little is to be explained but a lot is to be said
about “Zy”. This is because the way she lives
her life is already a sufficient indicator of who
she truly is. Zy is a person of true magis and
an embodiment of endurance – a testament
of will and desire. Intelligence is a gift she
naturally possesses, but never brags about.
Outrageously kind; her caring, sacrificial, and
seemingly serious demeanor is something
you need to experience to comprehend.
Serious doesn’t have to be dull! Some say
that studies are her primal motivation but
excellence, dedication, and passion more
accurately describes it. Seldom do you find a
person who puts such care into her actions,
her words, and even her thoughts! This
is proof that she lives a well-examined
life. Romans 12:1 best exemplifies her. “…
offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and
pleasing to God.”
When you first look at Fabros, you’ll notice
that signature look, smile and walk that
no one can mistake for any other. He used
to be famous for his lack of tact, but if
you look closer, you’ll discover there’s a
lot of depth and wit behind his jokes and
remarks. He can easily get along with
anyone and hardly ever places judgment.
His candid honesty and hard work are
his strongest traits. He is someone you
will definitely want on your team- be it a
group project, an org event or a basketball
team. He’ll never let you down. He’s a man
of intelligence and action, but he does
not need credit for the good he does. His
dedication and passion in everything he
sets his mind to will awe us all as he rises
the corporate ladder. Lastly, Fabros will be
remembered as that gentleman who does
not just look good, but has that charm that
captures the trust and loyalty of his friends.

Wonderful paradox - the closest description
you’ll muster once you come to know her.
She’s a hyperactive sleepyhead with a
hyperactive imagination that sometimes
causes insomnia. She’s a talkative extrovert
yet also a mysterious bookworm. She claims
to be a bum and the evil twin but also the
alter-ego and conscience, the counterpart
who never ceases to be there for her friends.
A great friend and a scary enemy. She sees
the good in things but is unable to accept a
compliment. Words are under her command
because of her sardonic wit but she’s often
unaware of the double meanings she makes.

Before attributing a wide array of nouns

he really is. Ritchie’s name can be broken

Ritchie is known for being rich, but not just
financially. As an athlete, he is rich with

One word: Chill! He’s as calm as a
sleeping hamster yet he can pounce like a
raccoon gone amok. He is Alvin Go. He is
impervious to the pressures of academic
life and is able to stay confident amidst the
fury of hell weeks. Why wouldn’t he be?
The man is probably one of the natural
geniuses in campus whose intelligence
transcends the measurement of grades. He
knows when to get things done and how
to get those things done properly.
Jaypee is all about the extra. Throughout
the years, he has always gone the extra
mile in his works and in his friends. Not
one paper or project has been passed
without containing his creativity. Not
one day has gone by without him at least
putting a smile on your face. With his

As one of the active faces in different orgs,
her competence is both pressuring and
inspiring –pushing people to do more. She is
also currently working on a social enterprise
to give the prison community another
chance at life. Despite her commitments,
she manages to walk around with a smile on
her face and a graceful bounce in her step.
Jackie accomplishes everything flawlessly,
yet still has time to check up on her friends
or spend an afternoon helping someone
out. It is true that many believe angels could
never exist on earth. Maybe it’s a little hard
to when you haven’t met Jackie. God must
have had his settings on “high” when he was
sprinkling His gifts on her. Anyone fortunate
enough to know Jackie can and will certainly
agree to that.
Beyond his seemingly reserved façade, it
usually comes as a surprise that Les is one
of the most amusing personas you could
ever meet. With his strange but contagious
laugh combined with his quirky jokes he
manages to pull off anything and turn
any dull moment into an outburst of
laughter. His unique personality seems
to be what most of his companions find
endearing. With all the complements and
achievements he has gained, he never
fails to put his modesty at the forefront.
His pleasant disposition and charm have
rewarded him the luxury of putting
matters in his own favor. Undoubtedly,
this sums up why he has strung up a huge
following amongst girls and guys as well.
But more than everything else, it is his
ability to see the best in everyone which
makes him stand out from the rest both as
a person and as a friend.

Nikee, as she is fondly called, has always
remained grounded. She exhibits such zeal
and enthusiasm for life that she never fails to
brighten up anyone’s day. An eager learner,
she does not only value the importance
of school but knows when to have fun.
Through the years, Nikee has learned to set
high standards for herself and find ways to
exceed them. She is a passionate dreamer,

Haw is definitely one of those. But don’t be
fooled. There’s more to this girl than her

It can be a mystery how this girl thinks and

Jom Hipolito may seem to be the most
dithyrambic and facetious guy in the
world, a jet setter who will entice you to
a long, amusing conversation. A lover of
parties, he’s not afraid to let loose after a
day’s work. Not grade-conscious but gets
high grades, he’s a walking contradiction.
Keeping a demure smile when cracking
an eyebrow raising comment, he is one
for the books. He’s always on the go,
whether it’s for facilitating an organization,
championing a volleyball game or
deciding to take a weekend off to travel.
He can easily make friends, for as he was
traveling, a stranger in France offered
him a place to stay after a conversation.
Jom can get whatever he sets his mind
to, whether it’s an internship to France, a
leadership position in an organization after
a week’s membership or a top notch grade
in Finance. He’s simply just Jom.
You have never seen anyone truly as
inspired and madly but pleasantly driven
like Lalaine. The sweetest smile that
matches the sweetest person, Lalaine sees
the world in her rose-colored glasses, and
takes on each day as both a challenge
and a gift on Christmas Eve. Her zest for
life takes her to the top of mountains,
even higher than the clouds— sometimes
literally. Oohla/Lala/Lals/Lainey/Lalenz
is your best friend, always so sincerely
involved in the things that matter… and
still there, supporting and smiling by
the sidelines, for the things that don’t.
Everyone loves to have Oohla around
because she just loves everything. No bad

Monica, or Mickey to her friends, is a
person full of surprises. Although an
industrious student who gets good
grades, she is neither grade-conscious nor
even competitive. Although she appears
reserved, she is actually talkative and
always cheerful when in the company of
her friends - friends she’s always there
for no matter what. Although some
might think her timid, Mickey is a strong
person who is able to fight for what she
thinks is right even at the face of tough
circumstances. She’s been through a lot
actually but she’s the kind of person who
believes there are always better days
ahead. Although she lives simply, she is a
generous person who has a desire to give
back to her society. And lastly, perhaps
what is most surprising about her is how
her small stature and tiny frame can house

I’m not pertaining to his riches. This is so

of write-up. He doesn’t brag. He doesn’t
boast. He doesn’t show-off. Instead he
lends, he gives, and he shares. At any given
day, he’d lend his ears to you, give his heart
to you, and share himself with you. Anyone
who has had the privilege to know this guy
knows that Alfonso has one of the biggest
hearts in the world. He may seem like he’s

Leandro is an all-out stage performer in the
theater of the Ateneo life. Upon receiving a
role, whether as an outstanding student of
Management, a representative for PANA, the
Vice President for Communications of AJMA,
or as the star intern of McCann World Group,
he prepares himself in executing the best
production. With his creativity and wit, he
continues to delight everyone who watches
him excel. As a leader, his high standards
and competitiveness motivates him not to
settle for mediocrity. His accomplishments,
ideas, and creative outputs reflect not only
aesthetics, but purpose and an objective for
positive change. He renders great effort in
all of his commitments. As his experiences
mold him, he continues to reveal that an

An afternoon with Nicole, energized with
caffeine and sugar, is bound to be filled
with moments ranging from the “sabaw”
to the serious, with topics covering ducks,
C2, and Harry Potter, and with her often
randomly bursting into song in between
takes. Before you know it, an hour has
passed and you’re still on the same topic.
With a tall cup of dark mocha on one
hand, Nicole shakes up the afternoon with
her resounding laughter, turning heads
and getting curious glances. Some may
think she’s your average Jane but Nicole
is one unique person. Nicole is that loyal
friend whom you can wake up (late) in
the morning and ask to come to your aid
when you’re really down and out. She’s a
hardworking student but never forgets to
have fun. Wherever she goes, from Macau
to New York, Nicole will surely leave her
mark.

Jau. How is that possible? Well, he may
have started his life as an archer, but he
embodies magis better than anyone you’d
know. Through all the long tests, group
works, major projects, he has given his
best. He strives for excellence, and never
settles for anything less. This shows not
only in academics but also holds true for his
relationships. Although he’s always caught in
a whirlwind of orgs, school or other duties,
he’s a guy who sets aside time for the people
he cares about. No matter what rants and
complains people have about anything, no

will be there to listen. At this young age,
he has shown a balance of responsibilities
beyond his years; because of this his future

Kristine or “Tin” can’t help sleeping in
almost all of her classes. She says “Ha?
Ano?” quite often because she spaces out
in the middle of a conversation. Her face
gets tomato-red when she drinks, laughs
out loud, or feels any unusual emotions.
She can be cranky when she is sleepy,
hungry, or annoyed. She loves bananas
and ice cream.
Getting from one class to another is an event
in itself when you’re walking with Clar. She’s
right beside you one minute, chatting and
giggling her trademark laugh while making
you wonder where she disappeared to the
next. Look behind you and you’ll see that
she’s having an animated conversation with
a passerby who happens to be her friend/
orgmate/classmate/friend of a friend of a
friend (you get the drift). Ateneo’s own Miss
Congeniality, Clar has a perennial smile and
wave ready at hand to greet you coupled
with a very enthusiastic shout-out of your
name. She’s forever up for gimiks (be it long
awaited or last minute), volunteers to be the
designated driver and always laughs at jokes
no matter how corny they seem to be. Clar
opens up to just about anyone and you’ll
never feel OP when with her. Clar is not just
friendly – she is friendship personified.
If life were to be likened to a scoop of
boring vanilla ice cream, then Andy
is the necessary nut that gives it this
unpredictable edge, with her kooky
antics, funny faces, and impromptu “girl
claps” making dreary days a little more
interesting. She is the extremely sugary
dose of chocolate syrup that compels you
to treasure moments, a caring friend who
makes homemade goodies for you and
never fails to surprise you on your birthday.
Most importantly, Andy is the cherry
that makes everything special. A dutiful
daughter and a diligent student, she
does all this while remaining responsibly
perched on her well-deserved spot: at the
top.
For someone who can’t even tell the

time using an analog watch, Marika is a
master of time management. She’s the
last person you’d want to rant to about
schoolwork, because chances are, she’s
already finished doing it at least a few
days before the deadline. Always on top
of things, Marika accomplishes everything
on time and still looks classy from head to
toe – whether she’s in signature duds or
bargain finds. But even though she looks
every inch like a diva, Marika is surprisingly
easygoing. Never one to heed warnings
about cancer-causing food, she brushes
off such comments and eats whatever she
likes. She’s also a self-confessed fan of all
things baduy and is always up-to-date with
the latest gossip on celebrities. Having
no room for pretense in her personality,
Marika knows that being true to oneself is
one thing that will never go out of style.
She has a big heart for the people she
values the most. When her friends
need her, she’s always there. She is
passionate about her dreams. With her
wit and determination, she likes turning
impossibilities into reality. Tin acts as
tough as she can, not letting any problems
get to her; but beneath her toughness lies
a person that feels the same pains, enjoys
the same moments and hopes for the
same things everyone else does.
Living a life without Andy is like passing off

that everything is going to be alright simply
because he exists. Known for stopping his
own time for others, Jurmane is that rare
sentimental person who exhausts his energy
to create all the deep bells and whistles
necessary to make you smile in a little longer,
even if it means altering his unbelievably
busy schedule. He can have his hands full
and still accept the weight of the world, and
we can trust that the world would be okay.

friendships she has formed in college can

smart kid on campus. She gets A’s in her
classes while maintaining a healthy social
life with her friends. An avid traveler, a
responsible student, and an even more
trustworthy friend, she has achieved goals
which, through combined efforts with her
colleagues, her Alma Mater can be proud
of. Moreover, she exercises prudence in

princess and purple junky is perfect for
HR because she is equally cheerful and
hardworking. She even takes the time to text
all 61 of her HR members, individually, for
each event. With her Ateneo barkada, she
is very malambing. Her cheerfulness does
not get the best of sympathy as this selfconfessed madaldal lady can just sit, listen,
hug, and give good advice when you really
need it. She is excellent at this because she
is easy to open up to and doesn’t judge.
She is also a loving girlfriend as she always
supports her boyfriend Gino at his futsal
games and his band’s gigs. In and out of the
classroom, Chinx does not stop until she
reaches her goals. This, combined with her
charming personality, will ensure her success
in whatever she does. Good luck Chinx!

Nikola is a petite girl with a big attitude.
She may look quiet and shy at first glance,
but once you get to hang out with her, her
high energy will surely keep you on your
toes. She’s comfortable in her own skin
and she’s got a carefree confidence with
brains to boot. A conversation with her will
show you her quick wit and snappy humor.
She’s your typical pretty girl, but this chick
can hang out with the guys and be one of
them too. Her playful spirit makes it easy
for anyone to get along with her. She’s
sweet to the people who are close to her
heart and friendly to new company. She
listens when you need to vent and makes
you laugh so that your worries go away.
Nikola is like a steaming cup of cocoa on
a cold rainy day and a refreshing glass
of lemonade on a scorching summer
day. She’s that kind of friend who can be
whoever you need her to be and more.
People who meet Renei are normally
greeted with a bright “Hallo!” and a warm
smile on her face. She strikes people
as being friendly and down-to-earth,
even though she has a multitude of
creative talents to boast of. Renei is also
awesomely eccentric. Her imagination,
spontaneity and animated personality will
make you want to believe in all the magic
in the world.
I do not know of anyone else who works
harder and exerts as much effort in training
aside from Karla. Whether at the gym or
at training, she ensures that every muscle
of her body is strengthened. However,
even without the training, Karla continues
to exercise the most important muscle of
her body: her heart. Karla’s heart has that
wonderful capacity to love and accept just
about anyone and everyone; it does not
choose who it will reach out to. Her heart
sees past the physical attributes of people
and delves deeper into their souls where
she touches them by providing an ear
that deeply listens and a hand that assists
generously. Likewise, Karla’s heart is further
strengthened by her sincere and loyal
dedication to her faith, family, sports, and
the arts. Her devotion to these is certainly
indisputable and genuine truly reflecting her
pure and altruistic heart loves endlessly.
A perfect mix of brains, sweet looks, and
the kind of heart you can’t easily pick
from any crowd, Tisha is the girl you’d be
blessed to be friends with for many years
– even way past those that constitute only
our four short ones in Ateneo. Although
she can unsurprisingly be spotted in
school either studying diligently or
completely focused on her latest mustdo, those who know her well have seen
that certain side of her that can’t simply
be compared with just anyone else – that
genuine kindness matched up with her
own unique wisdom and thought, tied
together with that aura she possesses of
being a good friend. Simply put, Tisha is
the type of person you’d wait for after so
many years, simply to remember those

Hyra is as unique as her name and also
as complex as scientific phenomena. Call

first because her Ateneo education will pave

takes care of her friends in almost a maternal

At first glance, Mac might strike anyone as
the mataray type of guy. But behind that
reserved face is a funny guy full of wit and
charm. His many hirits and funny jokes never
fail to keep one laughing until his or her
stomach aches. But together with his goofy
side is a serious and pragmatic side that has
not yet been revealed to many. Mac is good
at giving sound advices precisely because he
is a very frank and honest person who is not
afraid to speak the truth, even though the
truth can sometimes hurt. He is the type of
friend who can help you put things back in
perspective when everything seems to be a
blur. Because of his easy-going personality,
people tend to underestimate him at times.

Meet Mr. Congeniality. Known to be
“everybody’s friend,” Marwin is loved by
many for his outgoing and down-to-earth
personality. There is never a dull moment
with him because he can talk about
anything under the sun! Definitely the life
of the block, his stories and humorously
candid comments or hirits would always
set the room in high spirits. His positive and
joyful disposition toward life is admirable
and contagious. An org person, sports
enthusiast, and member of the Blue Babble
Batallion, Marwin is always keen at trying out
different things, making him street-smart
in many ways. Perhaps the epitome of what
carpe diem means, he makes the most of his
youth by enjoying life to the fullest. Beneath
all these, Marwin is also a softie who gives
his all for the people he cares about. He is a
genuine friend you can trust and definitely
treasure for x years to come.
Daphne is a good person. (Caveat: qualify
good) She is also a simple person with less
simple dreams who is interested in even
less simple things.But this same good and
simple person just happens to always,
always, always (my god, always) ask why,
which is where the trouble starts. She
never runs out of opinions to give, or at
least, why there should be no opinion to
give.She also thinks existence is (nearly)
everything, and so still stubbornly denies
that ultimate inevitability.
She, in a way, is like your mischievous little
sister. Sometimes, she can be annoyingly
meddlesome and exasperatingly noisy, but
a complete sweetheart and subdued angel
at other times. She takes forever to make
up her mind and when she finally does,
you find out that that final decision wasn’t
final after all.
But, like your little sister, she would be
there to help you plan vengeance schemes
to get back on that guy who broke your
heart, listen to your endless rant about
school work, or stay up until dawn to finish
your Chinese homework. She is also the
only person who can make you laugh even
if you’re at wit’s end.
At the end of the day, you come to love
and accept her for the ever changing girl
that she is, because she’s not just a friend,
she’s family.

Those words have a good grasp of this guy’s
substance. Here’s why. A smile is what is
always on his face. He goes through life

Karen is a unique mix of quirkiness and

The Ateneo experience won’t be as
meaningful as what we might have

geeky boy, but also a mean defender
on the football pitch. His days are filled

but the trunk of his car is a mess of epic
proportions. Paolo’s a proud member of

endearing personality. Devilishly smart

Destined for greatness, Gino has dreams
of becoming a teacher ala Indiana Jones,

he’s arguably the heart and soul of their
band, Hansom. This self-confessed couch
potato also takes time to read books and
participate in athletics (he won the futsal
PE finals 3 times and actively participates
in IAC games). Gino is an extremely solid
friend; he will be there for you no matter
what. He is a very deep thinker but at the
same time won’t hesitate to crack overly

Night, dark mystery. She dances in on high
heels, trailing flame. Twists and twirls,
ignites. And like a sword she slices through
nothingness and slashes blackness into
vivid strokes of dangerous colour.
At first glance, many would see Maan as
the shy type—but do not be deceived by
her looks. You’ll be amazed by how loud
and energetic she can get, sharing endless
stories of just about any topic. She’s also
very animated (with all her cute, effortless,
and funny antics), but do keep some
distance when you are with her—you
don’t want to be spanked by her weighty
hand! More than anything else, she’s a true
friend, and is probably the kind of friend
we all thought only exists in a Utopian
world. She doesn’t only attend to the
needs of her peers but anticipates them as
well. She is comedic without even trying,
undeniably dependable, affectionate,
and caring, which is why everyone just
loves her to bits! Maan’s character is
synonymous to the little red cherry on top
of anyone’s vanilla ice cream cup – giving
much color to a custom world.
Asked to name one of the few people so
zealously passionate about God, one name
comes to mind: Zerge Zandueta. Active in
Bible studies and speaking about God to
his friends, his faith is even made more real
by his kindness. Zerge is so nice he could
not even hurt a fly. Yes, it’s true—there are
still people like him! Zerge also happens
to be a top student—always acing his
classes. More than his kick-ass writing skills
and amazing intellect, what draws people
to Zerge is his depth as a person. Zerge is
probably one of the most insightful people
you’ll ever meet—which assures you of an
interesting conversation. His caring, sweet,
and thoughtful ways will surely touch your
heart—if his kindness hasn’t already. Aside
from being an amazing person, Zerge is
one of those people you’d be fortunate to
meet, for he will contribute in many ways
to your growth as a person.
Mix together in a large bowl using a
wooden spoon. Bake in the oven at 350˚F
for 30 minutes. Let it cool on a rack and
serve.
Caution: This dish might be a bit too hot
to handle at first, but knowing the proper
handling techniques will surely provide
you with an enjoyable treat like no other!

after elusive dreams, her eyes burning with
the passion of her sophisticated art.

spirals in fierce curves of momentum as
she dashes in a final chase, daring the
inevitable close. But there is no end; she
dances forever.
Fire, that beautiful disaster. She flickers, but
never dies.

Zee,
Moises Miguel
Miko Zee stands out from the crowd. It’s not
because he’s probably the tallest person I
know, but because whenever he enters the
room, he exudes a distinct personality that
is truly his own. We just clicked instantly. He
may look unapproachable, but he’s really
easy and fun to talk to especially when
it comes to gossip, nostalgia, and even
bitching about academics and life in general.
I always enjoy our YM conversations because
they’re never boring, and we manage to talk
about the most trivial things to the serious
stuff—like being freaked out over our
mortality, etc. He’s truly one of my closest
friends in college because we understand
each other.
I also admire Miko’s resilience, determination,
and passion to pursue what he really wants
out of life.
