Bohol - Holiday Treasures
Bohol
Just south of Cebu lies the quiet island of Bohol home to one of
the Philippines most unusual resident, the Tarsier monkey. Highly
endangered and certainly the worlds smallest primate, the tiny
Tarsier measures just 10 cm long and can been seen in private
reserves on Bohol.
The capital of Bohol is Tagbilaran which can be reached by direct
flight from Manila or by a short ferry ride from Cebu City. A hectic
port there are only a few small hotels it is unlikely that you would
want to stay here.

but turning brown as they dry.
The resort is boutique style which accounts for its exclusivity. Architecture
of the building is decidedly Filipino with a splash of modern amenities.
The thatched villas or “balai” in the dialect, are single detached. These are
built with sturdy construction materials, but the ample use of indigenous
materials like bamboo, cogon, and wood for finishing is highly evident.
The centre of attraction of the resort is the infinity pool which definitely
blends with the sea at its bluest. The spacious restaurant has a cool feeling, yet with a warm ambience and plenty of sea and pool views. Dining
can also be at the beach al fresco, at the poolside or in the garden.

Cebu
Cebu, located in the central Visayas, is the fastest growing metropolis outside of Metro Manila, a commercial hub which contains the country second international airport as well as being

Cebu was discovered by Ferdinand Magellan in the 16th century
and many Spanish landmarks still remain. The magnificent Basilica
Minore del Santo Nino was built in 1565 and stands close to Magellan's Cross, which apparently contains splinters from a cross he
