- AGES 11-16 YEARS OLD FOR AFRICAN DANCE W/ DJONIBA CENTRE

8 FULL scholarships will be awarded
to those dancers AGES 11-16 YEARS who show an excellence and
determination in the audition along with the need for financial assistance.
WHEN: Saturday, October 16th 12:00-1:00 pm
WHERE: Peridance Capezio Center, 126 East 13th Street NYC 10003
* must be able to commit to Fall & Spring Session (October 2nd – June 11th)
* performance opportunity at end of year
Djoniba Dance & Drum Kids at Peridance is a unique program that offers
children ages 3-16 years old an intensive curriculum of African dance and
music classes, regardless of their experience. Committed to inspiring young
people, our mission is to develop the star in each child and make them shine.
Studying and performing dance and drum will help them understand the
rewards of hard work and discipline in addition to giving them a sense of
community and values that will be reflected in all aspects of their lives.
Together Peridance Capezio Center & Djoniba Dance & Drum Centre are
committed to providing underserved children the opportunity to study dance
& drum regardless of their family's financial situation. These scholarships
were made available through a fund granted to Djoniba Dance & Drum
Centre from the Durst Family Foundation.
