Botswana’s Miss Universe, currently trending as one of the biggest entertainers on the recent Big Brother
Africa. This young talented lady has certainly made a huge name for herself being watched by over 50
million viewers 24 hours a day for 57 of 63 days, keeping fans glued to their screens with not just her beauty
but her singing and acting talents as well. Now ready to grow and spread her wings to a much bigger market.
Cast in the role of “Thokolosi” a main character of the local BTV series by the same name only at the age
of 12, it was certain she was destined for the television and film. She later evolved into one of the country’s
most memorable beauty queens, besting 11 other contestants. During the contest, she modelled a national
costume with a beaded headdress and a whip, which made Time magazine's list of Most Bizarre National
Costumes.
Representing her country in Miss Universe 2012/2013 held in Las Vegas USA, she placed 34th out of 102
countries. Sheillah has also gone on to pursue a singing career which has seen her featuring on numerous
chart toping songs, she is currently working on songs which should be part of her first Album. Mentored
by South African industry greats like R.J Benjamin, Clint Brink and called “A great actress” by Nollywood’s
Desmond Eliot, there is a whole lot we can expect from Sheillah’s talents.
Biography
Sheillah Molelekwa was born 12th of May and raised by her grandmother in a small village, she later moved
to stay with her mother in the Botswana capital city of Gaborone. Being confident and entertaining, she
found a place for herself on television at the tender age 12 staring in BTV’s popular television drama
“Thokolosi” and was later brought back to do the second season at the age of 16. Moving on from television
Sheillah then pursued “Miss Vision 2016” at 18 and was crowned Miss Universe Botswana the following
year and representing in Las Vegas Nevada competing for the most coveted beauty pageant in the world,
Donald Trump’s Miss Universe placing 34th out of a 102 countries. Exposing her to work with international
brands such as Victoria Secret, Koowe(Austrailia), Chinese Laundry and Chi hair products as a model.
Sheillah came back and used her status to inspire and mentor the youth of Botswana through her “I AM A
Change” campaign, touring schools around the country and motivating the youth to be the change they
want to see. Out of this came the opportunity for her to feature on a song with various artists from
Botswana for the campaign, sparking the beginning of Sheillah’s singing career and seeing her featuring
and recording on a number of chart topping songs. These are just few of the reasons why she was chosen
amongst thousands to represent her country as one of two housemates in Big Brother Africa season 9
“Hotshots”, entertaining all the way through to the semi-finals of the show. Voted most talented and
entertaining housemate whiles loved for her singing and acting by fans, and named most beautiful girl in
the house by the host IK Osakioduwa.

Oprah, Nelson Mandela, Donald Trump,Russell Simmons, and Iyanla Vanzant being just some of her major
inspirations, Sheillah sets her standards to those of her role models and aims to reach higher and be an
example to others as they have been to her. She is determined to be a force of change not only in her
community and country but the world at large. Inspired by the talent she sees in others, she has dreams of
a school for the creative arts so that we as a continent can develop the talents of our youth from the early
stages of their development.
