CHATWAL HOTEL
PROJECT PROFILE CHATWAL HOTEL NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK Owner: Mr. Sant Chatwal Hampshire Hotels & Resorts Architect & Design: Thierry Despont Original Architect: Stanford White McKim, Mead, and White Quantity: 83 Units THE CHALLENGE Originally built as a hotbed for creativity amongst the finest actors of the time, the original Lambs Club was built in 1905. Renovation of the property into the boutique Chatwal Hotel included the restoration of original elements and incorporation of cutting-edge technologies. THE PROCESS For this property, luxury means more than private butlers and high thread-count linens. Luxury is about technology. With high-end stereo systems and streaming ondemand video, the designers of the Chatwal understood the modern guest experience. That’s why they chose a television mirror for each of the 83 guest bathrooms. ON THE RESULT SÉURA’s Enhanced Series vanishing television mirrors were just the ticket for the production. Setting the stage for a unique bathroom experience, the television appears with the click of a remote. Another click, and the television completely vanishes, leaving an uninterrupted mirror reflection. Because of the luxurious nature of the property, combined with the historic motif, the vanishing television mirror is a true showstopper. 1230 Ontario Road Green Bay, Wisconsin 54311 Tel: (800) 95-SEURA (920) 857-9069 Fax: (920) 857-9490 www.seura.com OFF
