The History
Founded by Prince Rainier III of Monaco in 1961, the MonteCarlo Television Festival and the Golden Nymph Awards
were created to recognize excellence in global television
programming, the best actors and to promote the medium of
television as a means of bringing people together.
For more than half a century, the Principality of Monaco has
played host to this glamorous event that is now placed under
the honorary presidency of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco.
