Property
The property is believed to have been a farm workers cottage in
the past and is now a family home offering well balance
accommodation.
On entering the property there is a small entrance hall which
leads through to the comfortable and cosy sitting room with
wooden flooring and a wood burning fire. This room overlooks
the front garden. Back to the hall and through to the kitchen/
dining room. With a range of traditional wooden units, beams,
tiled flooring and space for a range cooker, the room has plenty of
space for a farm house size table and chairs as well as a sofa by the
French doors overlooking the rear gardens. Just off the kitchen
there is good size utility which also incorporates a WC. There is
also a small boot room with a door leading to the back garden.
To the first floor there are four bedrooms and a family bathroom.
Outside there is a gravel drive to the front giving access to plenty
of parking and the double garage and further store. The rear
garden is secured with wooden fencing and mature hedging. The
gardens have been landscaped by the current owner to provide a
paved terrace with steps down to the lawn. There is a gravelled
water garden to one side and paths to the garden store and
further timber outbuildings with power connected, which are
currently used as a kennel and gym. These could be upgraded to
provide further accommodation or a home office.
Situation
Situated in the rural open countryside of North Wiltshire, close
to the traditional market towns of Royal Wootton Bassett, Calne
and Chippenham which all provide a range of educational and
retail facilities. The regional centre of Swindon provides a more
comprehensive range of business, educational, recreational and
retail facilities. Chippenham and Swindon are both easily
accessible for mainline rail services between Bristol and
Paddington. Excellent road communications provide easy access
to employment centres of Swindon, Bath and Bristol from either
junction 16 or 17 of the M4.
