RECOGNIZE THIS ARTWORK?
This Phillips Avenue artwork titled, Sunflowers,
is currently featured on the Parrish Art
Museum’s 2010 Student Exhibition
informational brochure. Sunflowers was created
for the 2008 School Art Festival at the Parrish
Art Museum, and is permanently displayed
proudly in the Phillips Avenue Elementary
School Gymnasium. The 2010 Student
Exhibition is titled, Students View American Sti!
Life and runs December 4, 2010 - January 23,
2011.

Congratulations to Noah Markewitz (Alto Saxophone) and alternate, Ryan Diresta (Tenor Saxophone) who were
chosen out of 220 applicants to represent Riverhead Middle School in the New York State Band Directors’
Association Middle School Honor Concert Band. The ensemble will rehearse and perform March 4, 2011 - March
6, 2011 in Syracuse New York.
