My Story and Lessons Learned for Your Success
Let’s start with looking through the lens of “The Dealmaker” … my world. One of
landing multi 6 and 7 figure deals to running billion dollar sales divisions in Fortune 100. !
You may be thinking “Well, that’s easy for you to say - you’ve done it”. Let me rest your
mind at ease. I was a C- student in high school at best, raised by a single mother and
times were tough. !
I sold avocados at the age of 9 to buy a pair of tennis shoes - “Red Ball Jets” (a girl has
got to have her shoes!) That was my mom’s brilliant and I mean BRILLIANT idea. !
She said “How about you go pick avocados at your Aunt’s house and sell them door to
door”?

For Shoes? YES …Perfect! So I did just that and along the way, learned the art of
“Leverage” where your clients gather all in one specific area. !
In this case, I happened to find a cul-de-sac where all the neighbors (my clients) were
hanging out and Bing, Bang, Boom … I sold that whole wagon of avocado’s and ran to
buy those shoes. Did I say, my mom was brilliant? !

The candy and money eggs were always my favorite. It is the thrill and rush of the
unknown, the chase and competition. Perhaps being a former athlete and die hard
football mom has me continue to LOVE the art of the deal … the art of the unknown. !
Sales is just that … a Sale. Closing the Deal is critical to a sustainable, long term,
profitable business. You Exchange YOUR Value for a monetary compensation. Women
are constantly stuck in the world of “labels” - of what people think or say, and I say
“Don’t Get Labeled”. !

7. What’s this BEAST problem costing them to stay stuck? To stay playing

If you’ve read this far, I hope you are thinking which strategy you were going to
implement. The biggest mistake people make is thinking that closing the deal
is a “separate conversation”.

So all of a sudden, people practice a transition statement or begin acting weird and
awkward.

Imagine this… You go to a restaurant, you smell the food, yummy! You sit down, listen to
the waiter and read the menu.

You are starving. In fact, you didn't realize how hungry you really were.
!
All the senses are activated… Your imagination is going. Then – all of a sudden – The
waiter says, “…thank you for your time the restaurant is closed - we are leaving goodbye have a great day”.

I know that is an exaggeration, and often times the prospect is sitting in front of you,
donating their valuable time – listening – and you are engaging in meaningful,
collaborative conversation. !

They would love to do business with you.
The problem? You!
When a prospect is speaking with you on the phone or sitting down with you in person,
they are interested in what you have to offer. Really get this: No one is just going to
hang out and chitchat.

They are in the buying process.

In fact, most prospects have already done their due diligence and researched
you on the Internet before you even meet. Don't be surprised if they are doing
stealth recon looking you up while you were on the phone with them.

This is why traditional sales cycles are broken in today's world, and why

There is NO SUCH THING as a Sales Cycle! There’s only …. Call, Talk, Determine Fit, Make a Decision, CLOSE!
If you want to CLOSE clients faster than ever; and you're ready to close an
affluent client or a small or big client in a 1, 2, or 3 call close, avoid selling
like the 80’s and start having a "buyers" conversation. The Buying PROCESS looks like this:
• Choose a market you WANT to work with and know WHY you’re doing it.
• Locate the Decision Maker* (we’ll teach this in the training)
