Kelly Maglia
New EP, Just Enough Rough, Available Now
Genre: Rock/Metal
Rock-N-Pole Goddess Kelly Maglia Rides the Lightning with Her First EP
Just Enough Rough
LOS ANGELES, CA (Dec 1, 2015)
Metal has a new maiden with Kelly Maglia.
Kelly not only channels the best of 80s
glam metal (think Skid Row and Heart had
a love child), but she does it with a Cirque
du Soleil twist. Motley Crue may have
thrown dollar bills at girls, girls, girls, but
Kelly takes the pole back and enters the
scene as a new kind of Heavy Metal
Goddess: singer, acrobat and musician all
at once.
The songstress releases her first EP Just
Enough Rough today Tuesday,
December 1st, 2015. The EP ranges from
feel-good modern hair metal to darker,
progressive themes of alienation in modern
American suburbia. Four of the EP’s five
songs, co-written by Kelly, are her original
lyrics and music. EP also features a revved
up version of Aerosmith’s “Love in an
Elevator” with a raucous video to match.
First single Just Enough Rough music
video launches today December 1st with
Love in an Elevator music video to follow.
Kelly is set to take the metal world by storm with her high-octane theatrical shows and
over-the-top costumes. Kelly’s live shows feature pole dancers, contortionists, and
acrobats who light up the stage in Kelly’s original designs.
This past July Kelly rocked the Whisky A Go Go at Battle of the Bands for Cathouse Live.
The contest was judged by celebrity Headbanger Riki Rachtman and DJ Will of KNAC.
Music Enthusiast Magazine said, “Kelly Maglia uniquely featured a sound that could be
affectionately interpreted as the love child of Skid Row and Heart. Propelled by operatic
vocals, grooving riffs, and accelerating percussion, Kelly Maglia took the stage by storm
with few apologies.” Link to full article here.
