Then join us for the Glennie Lankford Outdoor Gospel Sing, the only outdoor Gospel sing in the
county! Leading the stage, at 6pm, is Mark Anthony Brown. Mark is a two time 'New Artist of the
Year' nominee and 'Favorite Male Vocalist of the Year' nominee. He also topped the radio charts
with two number 1 songs in 2013.
On stage at 7pm, we welcome The Glovers. They are a family filled with great musical talent. Is it
not wonderful that they use their talents to praise God and share that praise with the world!
Then, at 8pm, we open our Gospel Sing stage to the community with an 'Open Mic' session. We
offer everyone the opportunity to take the stage and sing any Praise and Worship song that is in
their heart. Leading the Open Mic session is the local group '11:59 and Counting'. The sign-up
sheet for Open Mic will be located in the main KCO tent. Please provide your own music CD,
instrument or sing a cappella. We will not turn off the mike until we run out of singers!
Join us again on Saturday, August 16, for an entire day filled with music, contests, prizes and lots

the long lines form.

Welcome to a New School Year
Students- Remember to greet the new kids in school. Be the example that honors your family and
community. Do not allow yourself or your friends to bully others for the way they look, dress or
speak. If you see bullying, or become a victim of bullying, please report it to a teacher or other
trusted adult. Consider this, if he is a bully in high school, he may be a criminal in 2 more years, an
abusive parent in 5 years and your next door neighbor in 10 years. Your future is determined by
your own actions.
Parents-watch you children for behavior changes. Sudden bad grades, sleeplessness, loss of
interest in activities, mood swings, and depression, argumentative....are all possible signs of
bullying - as the bully or the victim. Talk to your kids, listen to what they say, and know who they
hang out with. If you suspect bullying, follow up on your instincts. A problem will not go away with
wishful thinking.
Residents-Remember, school time means there will be busses and kids on the roads. Use extra
caution when driving and allow yourself extra time to reach your destination in case you get stuck
behind a school bus.
Watch out for children
at bus stops and
waiting near the roads,
they are precious ‘little
earthlings’!

all his Mom has to say is that she’s Laughing

At the urging of Harry’s wife and doctor, 50
year old Harry finally made it to the gym. After
consulting with one of the trainers, Harry
decided to try out a steep treadmill. “Ok”, said
the trainer “I’m going to set it for ten minutes,
if you want to go longer just press start
again.” At first Harry was doing fine but after
5 seconds he started getting tired, and after a
minute he jumped off gasping for breath.
Walking to the side to sit down, he passed by
a friend of his. “Man”, said Harry. “I could
barely last a full minute on that treadmill.”
“Alright alright”, said his buddy, “no reason to
brag!”
Too Old To Date
The neighbors thought it was odd, but 93
year old Morton was dating again. One
Monday morning Morton woke up with a
funny feeling that something important
happened last night. It was during breakfast,
that Morton finally remembered what it was.
He had proposed to his date Greta. But what
she answered he just couldn’t seem to
remember. Morton picked up the phone and
dialed. “Hi Greta”, said Morton, “I have a
funny question for you, do you remember last
night when I proposed?” “Oh my gosh”
gushed Greta, “I’m so glad you called, I knew
I said yes to somebody but I just couldn’t
recall who it was!”

A young man was getting ready to graduate
college. For many months he had admired a
beautiful sports car in a dealer’s showroom,
and knowing his father could well afford it,
sadness and regret filled his heart. As he
was searching his father’s study for
important papers, he happened upon a
familiar box.
Inside he found his bible,

signs that his father had purchased the car.
Finally, on the morning of his graduation,
his father called him into his private study.
His father told him how proud of him he
was and how much he loved him. He
handed his son a beautiful gift box.

he raised his voice to his father and said,
“With all your money you only give me a
bible?” and he stormed out, leaving the
