Terms and Conditions
1.
The auctioneer will sell the animal to the highest bidder, and will settle any disputes which arise as to bidders and buyers.
2.
Every effort has been made to insure correctness of the catalogue, but the Sales Management and/or the Auction Company are not
responsible for errors or omissions, and assume no liability on its parts as to any statements regarding animals sold. Announcements
from the auctioneer take precedence over catalogue information.
3.
Terms of the sale are cash. Payment to be made sale day before the horses/bulls are released. Payments are in Canadian dollars.
Personalized cheques will be considered cash.
4.
Transfer fees will be paid by the buyers. We will forward the registration papers to the new owners after cheques are cleared (10 days).
5.
GST will be charged on horses; no GST will be charged on bulls.
6.
Buyers assume responsibility and expense for a horse/bull after the fall of the Auctioneer’s gavel. Feed and water will be available and it
may be possible to arrange for temporary board.
7.
Buyers have the option of vet checking a horse at their own expense within seven (7) days after the sale. If the purchase fails the vet
check, the horse can be returned to the seller. Any guarantee beyond seven (7) days must be at the discretion of the seller.
8.
Persons attending the sale do so at their own risk. The management, guest consignors and sale personnel assume no liability legal or
otherwise, for accidents or injuries that may occur to people or horses/bulls.
Special Considerations for Bulls:
1.
All bulls will sell semen tested.
2.
All animals will sell registered with the Canadian Angus Association.
3.
All animals are at the purchaser’s risk as soon as sold and will not be covered by internal insurance.
4.
Should any bull 14 months of age or over fail to prove a breeder after being used on cows known to be breeders, the matter shall be
reported in writing to Lakeland College.
5.
All animals have met the necessary health requirements.
6.
Delivery can be negotiated.

“Scar” is an eight-year-old grade, sorrel gelding that has been used on a large community
pasture for five years and two winters at the feedlot. He has a scar on his right hind leg, which
he got as a yearling. Scar is a big, gentle, easy-going ranch horse that has doctored lots of
cattle in the open, drug calves at brandings, gathered horses and gone ranch roping. Standing
16.2 hands and weighing 1200 pounds, he’s done most everything a ranch horse needs to do.

Squirt stands 15 HH and as stout as they come with the prettiest face you will find. Squirt has been
used for 2 months in an 8,000-head feedlot, opening/closing gates, moving cattle and packing a rope.
He is very cowy and will really latch on. He’s got a great turnaround and can get in the ground and stop.
He’s also been used gathering cattle, is good in the arena and gets along great with other horses. Will
make a great heel horse prospect, penner, ranch gelding, and has the right start to go in any direction.
His brothers and sisters have made great ranch and rope horses - he goes back to some of the greats–

Ryl Whisper (aka “Axel”) is a seven-year-old sorrel gelding with a big future. He stands 15.1 HH. This friendly
and quiet gelding has been used for ranch work, brandings, ranch roping and at the feedlot. He’s got a good
handle and is ready to take in any direction – team roping, cowhorse or as a solid ranch gelding. Axel is good to
load, haul, shoe, handle and is good with other horses. I’ve had this gelding since he was three years old, have
used him steady since then and he’s matured into a great prospect for someone to go on with. Thanks to
Clayton Millar for showing Axel this weekend, as we are at home awaiting the arrival of our first baby.

Cowboy stands approximately 15.1 HH with a sturdy build. He’s very athletic and can really get in the ground to

bothers this colt. He’s good in the arena, moving cattle or going for a trail ride and gets along great with other
horses. His sire, Two Eyed JJ, is a PRCA money earning calf roping horse, previously owned by Joe Beaver
and rode by him and Fred Whitfield. His grandsire, Ill Smoke Ya, is a world show halter qualifier, a Canadian

Holly Ribbon
“Bullseye” has been used for a bit of everything from drill teams to doctoring cows. Pulled lots
of calves to fire, doctored cows alone on the ranch. Head and heel branded lots of big calves
and team roped some. Has been in lots of ranch rodeos and excels at this. He does need an
experienced rider.

Ace is a mustang out of BC that I have used in the feedlot for the past year. I also have been
taking him ranch roping. He has a big heart for the little horse that he is. He never wants to
quit on you and will handle whatever you throw at him. He is my “Ace in the hole.”

Education with Purpose
If you want a career in the ranching industry, you’ll love the Western Ranch and Cow Horse
certificate program. This unique program combines cattle handling skills, cattle disease
recognition and treatment, and horsemanship skills. Many feedlots utilize personnel on
horseback for checking pens and moving livestock. Cattle showing signs of illness need to be
removed and treated. Students learn to work with their horse to properly separate and move
livestock and how to process cattle. With the knowledge and hands-on experience that you’ll
gain about equine husbandry and beef production, you’ll be riding tall in the saddle as you work
towards an exciting career.
