Started as a 2 yr. old, and with only a month of riding, ‘Jack’ became a money winner in Working Cow Horse. He is very willing and eager to please. He has been ridden on a ranch, around cattle, in the mountains and in the arena. He is not spooky at all. ‘Jack’ is very easy to catch…in a large pasture you can walk right up to him, halter and saddle him. He is ready and willing to go without any hesitation. This Gelding has roped cows and bulls in the pasture and is comfortable leading and snubbing wild cattle. He has been hauled to ranch rodeos and is quite handy. He is better suited for an experienced adult or child rider, as he has lots of go. This Gelding can be a little jumpy when fresh but settles right in. Anyone will enjoy to ride him. ‘Apache’ is very gentle, but I think he is a little too athletic to be a beginners main horse… someone who likes to play around with a little advanced training but does not want a ramped up attitude would be perfect. He has more advanced potential than what I have him at. Super enjoyable to train. Could do well at Cowboy Dressage. Has ponied other horses, flagged traffic and hobbles well. 100% sound. He is by proven cattle dog lines and has an outstanding pedigree which goes back to dogs that have been used for all aspects of ranch life. Quill follows a horse well; he is obedient and has a willingness to please. Quill is a young dog with an excellent foundation. He has been used to help move cattle off the forest. He works well in tight situation, corrals, pens and pastures. He has great balance and good gathers. Quill is showing great promise to be a good asset on any ranch. He had a broken front leg in early spring, 2013. The leg is completely healed (vet statement on request), Quill is sound and ready to go to work!
