We decided there was no one we would rather feature than a passionate Creswick customer. We emailed our entire customer database to send in a photo and enter our competition. We had an overwhelming response from ladies, men and children. Edwina and Ritchie from Abbotsford and 21 month old Charlotte from North Balwyn were selected and they all did a fabulous job at our shoots at the Lake House in Daylesford and in the studio. Lake House, Daylesford The Lake House, located 15 minutes from the Creswick Woollen Mills, is a tranquil retreat in a waterfront lodge setting. Six acres of abundant and fruitful gardens extend down to the waters amongst sculptures from many of the region’s top artists. Winner of two ASPA Awards, with a restaurant boasting two Chefs Hats and just a stone’s throw from Creswick, what better place to showcase our new range of homewares, accessories and picnic rugs. With great excitement, we explored the fabulous Retreat complete with unique furnishings and works from the Wolf Tasker family’s private art collection. What a delight to find our very own Creswick Alpaca throws and blankets already incorporated into the décor! Special thanks to the team at the Lake House for their outstanding hospitality and assistance. We are proud to incorporate this local iconic venue in our 2012 catalogue. Compared to wool Alpaca is naturally lighter due to semi-hollow fibres. Alpaca fibre has unique thermal properties that release heat in warm conditions and trap heat when the weather is cool. A perfect seasonal insulator. It was invented in 1958 by an Australian who was inspired by the memory of his grandparents’ ‘buggy rug’, a piece of oilskin sewn onto a blanket as protection from the wind, rain and cold. So the Billabong picnic rug was born by coating one side of the traditional picnic rug and replacing the fringes with eyelets. The Billabong picnic rug has stood the test of time due to the following attributes: . Quality waterproof backing . Soft wool rich pile . Strong metal eyelets to fix into the ground . Water, wind and rain proof . Easy to clean and care for, just hang over clothes line and hose down . Perfect to keep in the back of your car Did you know the billabong picnic rug has many other uses? Campers : . A wrap around for a sleeping bag (Traps body heat and insulates against extreme cold) . An emergency tarpaulin for pack rack or trailer Motorists : . A throw over seat cover to give warmth in winter or as protection against reflected heat over steering wheel or seats in summer Boat Owners : . A non slip deck rug . Useful incase of an emergency breakdown Jackaroo Travel Rugs 90% Wool 10% Other 137cm x 170cm Imported Chocolate (brown fringe) Mocha (white fringe) Woollen Mills Est 1947 6 Roche St, Hawthorn Victoria 3122 Australia P: 03 9818 5055 F: 03 9818 5066 [email protected] www.creswickwool.com.au Special thanks to
