Italian National Day at Castello Italia (INDCI)
INDCI is a celebration of the culture, heritage and lifestyle of an inclusive community which
has established itself as a driving force in the Canadian social fabric, with deep roots to Italy.
For the second year running, Italian institutions, associations and committees are jointly
coming together to commemorate Italian National Day in Toronto.

Location: Casa Loma, 1 Austin Terrace, Toronto
Attendance: 5,000 guests approximately
Demographic: People passionate about Italian food, fashion, culture; all age groups and

INDCI Co-Chairmen
GIUSEPPE PASTORELLI, Consul General of Italy
Giuseppe PASTORELLI was born in Rome on October 15th, 1973. He received a
Law degree “cum laude” from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” in 1996 and
the following year he joined the diplomatic service of the Italian Ministry of
Foreign Affairs. From 1997 to 2000 he worked as a Desk Officer at the Secretary
General’s Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From 2000 to 2004 he was
appointed ‘Head of the Commercial and Economic Section’ of the Italian
Embassy in Ankara (Turkey). In 2004 he was assigned to the Italian Embassy in
Budapest, Hungary, where he served as ‘Deputy Head of Mission’. From 2008 to
2010 he was appointed as ‘Head of the East Africa Department’ at the
Directorate General for Sub-Saharan Africa at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in
Rome. From 2010 to 2014 he has been Consul General of Italy in Boston,
Massachusetts. On August 25th , 2014 he began his mandate as Consul General
of Italy in Toronto.
