The largest museum of ceramics in Europe
The history of ceramics, Jugendstil, stylistic
movements of the postwar period, ceramics
of the present as well as technical ceramics are
presented spaciously on 4 floors: 2500 sqm
exhibition space – total size about 5000 sqm!
The largest museum of ceramics in Europe,
which was expanded in 2007, shows salt-fired
ceramics of the Westerwald region, tools, model
ovens – ceramics in handcraft, art and design.
Moreover: Special exhibitions, competitions,
symposia, lectures, concerts, museum education
for children, adolescents, adults and elderly
people, guided tours, museum shop, museum
café, training courses and conferences.
