The PTX-Pentronix VFD 612 Press is part of Gasbarre’s highspeed precision press line. Useful Information This double-acting press can easily hold tolerances as tight as 13 microns and press up to 6 tons of compacting force. It utilizes a removable tool capsule that allows the operator to perform tool setups external to the press. When equipped with multiple tool capsules, part manufacturers can run one part while setting up another, and switch tools in as little as 30 minutes, thus minimizing downtime and maximizing production rates. This press offers top punch hold-down for delicate parts with multiple levels, 6 The press also utilizes an HMI touchscreen to program and monitor press operation. Exhibitor Showcase GETTING SMALLER – BY DESIGN VISIT CERAMCO AT BOOTH 409 C Essential Contacts eramco’s feature presentation will be the latest addition to its high-volume PIM (powder injection molding) offerings. “This extension of our nearnet shaping capability – aptly named MicroPIM – is allowing us to produce ceramic components as small as 0.05g and in production quantities,” says company President Thomas Henriksen. MicroPIM-formed ceramic components are already found in applications including fiberoptic ferrules and wire bonding nozzles. Also, they are serving more broadly defined markets including medical and electrical interconnects.
