press capable of producing
up to 100 strokes per minute while
holding exceptional green part
tolerances. The PTX-Pentronix VFD
612 Press is part of Gasbarre’s highspeed precision press line.
Useful Information
This double-acting press can easily
hold tolerances as tight as 13 microns
and press up to 6 tons of compacting
force. It utilizes a removable tool
capsule that allows the operator to
perform tool setups external to the
press. When equipped with multiple
tool capsules, part manufacturers can
run one part while setting up another,
and switch tools in as little as 30
minutes, thus minimizing downtime
and maximizing production rates.
This press offers top punch hold-down
for delicate parts with multiple levels,

(3YSZ), an optimized ceramic
material for high-strength, anti-wear

Through EDS, nanostructured
ceramics with smaller grain sizes
are produced. As a result, they
benefit from increased hardness,
flexural strength and resistance to
thermal shock.
The company uses a unique, stateof-the-art manufacturing technology
– Emulsion Detonation Synthesis
