L-R: Metals Division night shift employees, Craig Lavis (Fitter) and David

"The res u lti n g desi g n of the ha rness m o u nt has

Savings have been estimated at just under $70,000 per

This week G M Holden kicked off a n ew

resou rce req u i rements {Gas, E lectricity,

T h i s b u i lds on i nitiatives we have been purs u i ng i nterna l ly .
a n d w h i l e we have made g reat strides i n some a reas water usage red u ction i s a g reat story - there is sti l l so

As with a l l i n itiatives a d d ress i n g s u sta i n a b i l ity, there i s no
si lver b u l let or one off solution . Rea l change starts with
attitude a n d i nclusion - th e belief that we a l l ca n m a ke a

Al l too often we waste e nergy by turn i ng on a nd leav i n g
l i g hts on w h e n they a re not req u i red.
W h i l e we a re worki ng with our s u ppl iers in this a rea, we
conti n ue to look at o u rselves. 'Do what I do' is a m uc h
easier lesson t o teach t h a n ' d o what I say'.
Let's a l l play our part i n bei n g tru ly energy a n d resource
