YMCA CAMP CONISTON ANNUAL 1988
OUR TWENTIETH YEAR!
What a celebration we had with our fine staff of dedicated people! As we complete our twenty years
at Camp Coniston we were very fortunate to have a really competent and dedicated group of people
to help us in the leadership of camp. We want to thank them, not only for their loyalty but for the
photograph they presented to us which hangs above the lodge fireplace and for the beautiful carved
loon and plaque which will stay with us always as a reminder of this special year in our lives. It was
a warm summer as we welcomed a lot of new people to our midst but it was really an outstanding
summer of active campers in new programs and in the tried and true ones that are our tradition. In
1989 we will celebrate the completion of 25 years as a YMCA camp in this most beautiful place in
New Hampshire. We hope many of you will join us here on the shores of Lake Coniston for what
should prove to be another significant year in the camp's history. Once again we welcome all of you
to share this special place with us in 1989. We especially say a fond farewell and a welldeserved
"thank you" to Elizabeth Farrey and Elizabeth Nelson who completed 15 years at Coniston,
something of a record. Our best wishes to them in their new careers.
