PA TCH PROGRAM
Daisy Girl Scouts
"HELPING OUR ANIMAL FRIENDS"
Daisy Girl Scouts must complete three (3) of the five (5) activities,
including the one with the asterisk.
1. * Visit the Houston SPCA for a tour. At your next Daisy
meeting, tell a story about one of the animals from their point of
view. What would the animal say if he could speak? How do
you think he feels about losing his family? How would you feel
if you lost a special friend? Select one of the dogs or cats by
name.
2. Become a "Pet Safety Citizen" by participating in our Pet Safety
lesson when you come for your visit to the Houston SPCA. You will
learn how dogs think so you will know what you should do if you see
a stray animal or if you want to pet someone else's pet.
3. Start a troop recycling program. This program will benefit all types of
animals by reducing trash and pollution and keeping our world
healthier!
4. Use our Wish List to gather items that will help our animals. See if
your troop can collect some items from friends or neighbors and
bring them down to the shelter on your next visit!
5. Complete the "Find a New Friend for Life" coloring sheet. When you
finish, you can send give your colorful sheets to a nursing home to
brighten the residents' days.
