An Unconventional Election

I’m with
DILL!
CLOSINGS
FROM
THE
DIRECTOR
Dill Pickle for President!
Are you weary of the presidential campaign yet? If only there were a
third candidate committed to running the most positive campaign
ever! A candidate who believes the success of our country depends
on promoting literacy for all, investing in our kids, and making
informed decisions about the issues. A candidate even Oscar the Grouch could love.
Well, good news - I am happy to announce that WNPL’s very own Dill Pickle is
running for president!
REGISTER FOR PROGRAMS
I know what you are thinking - “How is Dill Pickle going to win this election? After
all, Dill Pickle has a campaign budget of zero while the competition has millions.” Dill
Pickle believes in the power of the people and is running a grassroots campaign. And
unlike the competition, Dill Pickle has a likability rating through the roof. Everybody
loves Dill Pickle! Dill Pickle thinks a positive campaign can win a lot of votes. Dill
Pickle doesn’t believe in name-calling. In fact, Dill Pickle can’t even talk!
Registration begins Aug. 26 at 9am unless
otherwise noted. Register online at
wnpl.info or call (847) 244-5150; press “5”
for youth and teen programs and press “4”
for adult and computer programs.
Where does Dill Pickle stand on the issues? Dill Pickle believes in the power of the
public library and plans on reading as many books as possible on the issues before
taking office. Who will be Dill Pickle’s running mate? This is an excellent question, and
Dill Pickle believes the perfect people to help make this decision are the people who
know Dill Pickle best, the kids who use the library!
Please call us at (847) 244-5150 if you
need to cancel your program registration.
If you need assistance to participate in a
program, please call at least 48 hours in
advance.
This fall, our country faces a very important decision. We need to elect a candidate who
is prepared to make America read again! I don’t know about you, but I’m with Dill.
