Page 2 CRUSADER CHRONICLE The Gala Committee is in full swing planning this year's fund raiser, which is being held on Friday, November 6, at the Shawano County Park. The theme this year is Welcome Aboard the SS Crusader! We're sure it's going to be another night of great food and fun (and bidding)! Information about the Gala was sent out in the beginning of September to many local businesses and past supporters. If you didn't receive anything or have not attended in the past, you can find everything attached to this week's Crusader Chronicle. Tickets are available in the school or church office. Donations for the classroom baskets have already started - with the first one coming in on Open House night! That's awesome! If you have any questions, feel free to contact Jenny Roloff via Fast Direct. Hop Aboard the S.S. Crusader! WELCOME! We would like to welcome another New student to our school, Tanner Schmidt. Tanner comes to us from the Shawano Middle School and is in Mrs. Dobberstein’s 6th grade class. Tanner attended St. James previously, and so we are happy to have him back once again! Please help to make Tanner feel welcome! HAPPY AUGUST BAPTISM BIRTHDAY’S School Enrollment Each year at this time I am asked how the enrollment for our school is doing. This year our enrollment is 157 students as compared to 161 at the end of the last school year. If you remember, we graduated a class of 31 eighth grade students in June bringing us down to 126 students coming into this current school year. The ministry of our school has certainly been blessed by enrolling 29 new students this year! We have a new kindergarten class of 21 students, and enrolled an additional 8 students in other classrooms this year! Four students from last year will not be returning giving us a retention rate of 98%. We feel honored that parents have chosen to send their children to our school to receive their Christian education and we praise God for this blessing!
