Opinions
Tanner: The work really shows the power held
by the angels and the urgency of the news of
Christ’s birth. I find the fear from the shepherds
towards the angel to be interesting.
Eric: I think the painting demonstrates how
people were scared of religion. Jesus and
Christianity had so much power that people
trembled in their presence. This painting shows
this well.
