re-commence
Wednesday, September 3, for the fall and Christmas seasons.
We rehearse from 7:15-8:45PM every Wednesday in the

The Greenwich Garden
WE ARE HARVESTING! The
total number of pounds of
cucumbers,
green
peppers,
yellow squash and zucchini is
1760 pounds so far!
There is a sign-up sheet posted on the Local Missions bulletin
board in the Fellowship Hall so that if we do not already have
you on our e-mail list, we can add your name and be sure you
are informed as to happenings at the garden. We invite you to
join us, if even for a short while. Many hands help the work
go by quickly.
Also, if anyone has a tent that we can use, it would be
appreciated - the winds from recent storms were not kind to
the one we have.
We are excited to see God's blessings on our endeavors. The
need is great. -The Garden Committee
Plant a Row for the Hungry
Calling all gardeners. Plant-A-Row for the Hungry is in full
swing. Have a garden at home? Do you have an extra row of
plants producing a harvest of vegetables? Plant a Row for the
Hungry is collecting fresh produce each Sunday thru midOctober and would like to share with our local food banks.
The Plant-A-Row team at Greenwich thanks you for your
support.
Psalm 146: 5-7 Blessed is he whose help is in the Lord God of Jacob, whose hope
is in the Lord his God , the maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in
them, the Lord who remains faithful forever. He upholds the cause of the oppressed
and gives food to the hungry.

Rooted & Growing:
Building Update
Good weather enabled work to move forward
very efficiently in June. This month, we will really see the
building take shape as wall studs, insulation, steel trusses, and
roof sheathing are being completed. These are exciting days
for our church family! In an effort to show Christ’s love in a
practical way, we are providing snacks every day for the
construction crews working on the project. We invite
everyone to donate non-perishable snack items (granola bars,
beef jerky, chips, etc.) and drop them by the office. We want
every worker to know they are appreciated! Please continue to
pray for the safety and welfare of all who are on site as they
work.
Pray: For God’s favor upon the building project and the safety
of the work crews.
“To him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine,
to him be glory in the church through all generations!” Eph. 3:20-21

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as

Opportunities to Serve at
Greenwich
As we connect and grow in Christ, we
are being equipped to then engage
through ministry and missions. God
blesses each of us with talents and abilities. Volunteering is a
way God's work is accomplished with our hands and hearts.
When we serve together, we build relationships that create a
broader and stronger community.
4
For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do
not all have the same function, 5 so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and
each member belongs to all the others.6 We have different gifts, according to the
grace given to each of us. Romans 12:4-6a
