Catholic Summer Camp
Thank you to everyone who sponsored the Catholic Summer Camp this year. Through your
generous contributions, all of the youth who needed sponsorship were able to attend the
camp who otherwise would not have been able to go and experience the joy of getting to
know Christ in the great outdoors among their peers. A great time was had by all. Thank you
for your generosity.

A MOTHER’S TEARS: PRAYER AND REFLECTION ON OUR LADY OF SORROWS
September 12, 2015 – (The Feast of Our Lady of Sorrows is September 15th)
8:30-noon
St. Ambrose Co-Cathedral Church
Nothing compares with what Mary had to go through during our Lord’s passion: She stood by, helpless, watching
Jesus being condemned unjustly, mocked, scourged and tortured, crowned with thorns, and crucified.
Could anything be more horrible for a mother than to witness that happening to her only son? Jesus, being God,
could have preserved her from that. He could have brought her home to heaven before those events occurred,
for Instance, as happened with St. Joseph. But he didn’t. Somehow, his love for his mother included allowing her
to suffer, and to suffer deeply, painfully, terribly. Why?
We delve into Jesus’ words: “Do not let your hearts be troubled” (John 14:1). What did he really mean? How we
can make that happen? “Troubled Hearts” will help you go deep in answering questions like those.

Catholic Women's League members, please start collecting your groceries for the barrel
of groceries. Groceries and tickets sold will be brought to the September meeting. The
Hullabaloo is on September 19.
Are you a non-Catholic interested in inquiring about the Catholic faith?
Are you a Catholic adult who has never celebrated 1st Communion and/or Confirmation
Are you a Catholic wishing to update your faith?
If you answered “yes” to any one of these questions, then maybe RCIA is for you. RCIA will be starting this fall
at St. Ambrose. Interested in finding out more? Phone the Parish Office at 742-7151.
As of September there will be only one intention per Mass. As we have allowed bookings three months in
advance, those that are already booked, we will keep, but going forward we will only have one.
