Annual Pub Crawl San Antonio 2017 Calling All Lions For the Young And Young at Heart Let’s Make Memories To the Oldest Saloon in Texas Located right in the heart of downtown San Antonio, we are two blocks from the Alamo and one block from the Riverwalk. For over 131 years, The Buckhorn Saloon has been known as a gathering place for good conversation, great food and spectacular wildlife exhibits. Today, the salón houses a Café, Gift Shop, Shooting Gallery and our two museums, the Buckhorn Museum and the Texas Ranger Museum THE QUINTESSENTIAL DOWNTOWN BAR The Esquire boasts the longest wooden bar top in Texas over 100 feet of beer-soaked wood, rubbed smooth by the elbows of a zillion tipplers. If you’re looking to add some class to your night on the town, no pub crawl of historic bars in San Antonio would be complete without a trip to The Esquire Tavern. Our doors opened on Repeal Day in 1933 to celebrate the end of prohibition and the beginning of great American bar culture, and since then, locals and celebrities alike have graced our establishment in search of good food and a good time. The Esquire is back as the quintessential downtown bar: dark, cool, redolent with history, and serving cold, cold beer, swanky cocktails, and excellent food. “Unless you’re a stuffed shirt or a Prude, you can’t help but have a Grand Ole Time” The pub opened in September, 1974. Durty Nelly’s is a replica of the original Durty Nelly’s in Ireland. The original Tavern dates back to 1620 as part of the Bunratty Castle in Limerick, Clare County. It is one of the oldest continually operating restaurants in the world and has been opened over 390 years. Since Durty Nelly’s doors first opened, this corner has become a hot spot on the Paseo del Rio. Sing, Laugh and Have Fun
