Parque Joyero de Cordoba became an idea in 1998 to group the main
companies on jewellery, watches, goldsmithery and silverware in an unique
complex. That innovative idea is nowadays a reality.
Parque Joyero rises to respond to the necesity of living an impulse of
modernisation and to professionalise this dispersed sector, enforcing its image
of quality and leadership.
Since it was inaugurated in 1.995, it has been consolidating itself as the major
proposal in the sector in Spain and the flag of the jewellery “made in Córdoba”.
Nowadays and after a period of time in which companies moved all their
structures to the complex, Parque Joyero is implementing its promotion in trade
shows, sponsorising cultural and sport events, organising professional events in
its facilities, etc. All mentioned to show Parque Joyero as the best place to
facilitate and enforce commercial relations between enterprises in the park and
visitors.
In 2008, Parque Joyero became “Parque de Innovación Empresarial” (Park for
the innovation). This denominative term is given by Junta de Andalucia
(Regional Government) acknowleging Parque Joyero as a location which
actively promotes innovation in the enterprise. With this new status Parque
Joyero is implementing all sort of projects which will bring more and better
services to the established firms and visitors.
Other remarkable points about innovation in Parque Joyero are:

Since 2007 a RETA technician (Red de Espacios Tecnológicos de
Andalucía) is working in Parque Joyero to give consulting services to
whole Andalusian jewellery sector, advising about grants and
technological development.

School of Jewellery making and design (Consorcio Escuela de Joyería de
Córdoba) in Parque Joyero, it has got an specialised office of supporting
and consulting about quality systems, industrial safety, education, etc.

Since 2007, SURGENIA undertakes its activities led to promote design as
one core competitive strategy in order to achieve success in current
markets. They work on multisectorial basis providing full services to
demanding companies. It is a patronate, linked to Junta de Andalucia,
and Parque Joyero is one of its members.
SURGENIA, as outstanding entity in Andalucia will bring the possibility of
attracting new “very focused on design” firms to this complex, which will not
neccesary have to be linked to jewellery activities (textile, publicity, etc.)
Parque Joyero is an alive organism, which gets adapted to current reality.
Therefore, It is now opened to non jewellery firms. These new firms will enrich
our current offer. With this, Parque Joyero is on the way to be a major business
park.

Industrial units
148 industrial units of jewellery, goldsmithery, silversmith, fashion jewellery and
watches companies and some other auxiliary firms in a 90.000 m2Area. This
wide offer will ensure that visit will be more effective and profitable, getting
access to latest trend products in the sector.
Commercial area
8300 m2 divided into 202 commercial outlets, where both jewellery and
auxiliary firms show their product to visitors in this “permanent showroom”.
This ideal is enforced with the exposition located at the main hall in general
services building.
Commercial area also holds complementary business such as a travel or courier
agencies, etc.
Parque Joyero de Cordoba is a complex whose main activity is meant to be
incide jewellery sector. However, since the end of 2008 it is possible that firms
from other sectors could move into Parque Joyero and set up their activities in
it. For this reason, either industrial and commercial areas may hold any kind of
activity together with the main one: jewellery and watches.

Exhibition center - Surgenia, Foundation Technological Centre for
Andalusian Design
30.000 m2 building designed for any kind of events, from commercial fairs to
economic, social or sport events. Surgenia, the Foundation Technological
Centre for Andalusian Design, is also situated in this building.

This 4.880 m2 unit is the main entrance to Parque Joyero. It holds the finance
and commercial offices as well as different rooms and spaces designed for
conventions or meetings. RETA consultant is working in this building to provide
his services to Andalusian jewellery sector.

School of jewellery making and design
Owned by the Andalusian Regional Government (Junta de Andalucia). It offers
a wide programme of educational courses of jewellery making and design
focused on the improvement of the human resources quality in the jewellery
industry. Aditionally, its technical office provides consulting services to jewellery
sector.
