Heidi‘s Village takes visitors on an emotional
journey back through time to the Swiss alpinelandscape of the late 19th century. In front of
Heidi‘s House, they are greeted by Heidi and
Peter‘s pet animals. The optional guided tours
present an authentic picture of the world of
Heidi. From the storage cellar, guests are led
up to the rustic parlour, where Heidi and Peter
await. They can also visit Heidi‘s room, which
is simply furnished, just as it would have been
at the same time. In addition, there is an impressive collection of Heidi books in numerous
languages.

For decades, Heidi has captured the imagi-
nation of children all over the world and captivated the hearts of grown-ups, too. Despite
international appearances in books, musicals,
cartoons and films, Heidi has not forgotten her
roots. For nowhere in the world can Heidi‘s
aura and personality be more strongly felt than
in the authentic Heidi‘s Village, with its original
Heidi‘s House, above Maienfeld. You can make
your way here via the Heidi Trail or, for those
who prefer to take it more easy, by car. And anyone wishing to explore further afield can also
make the Heidi Adventure Trail and visit Heidi‘s
grandfather on the Alp overlooking Maienfeld.

À Start of the walk is the Heidi-Shop / InformatiAnfahrt zum Parkplatz Heididorf
on centre at the Bahnhofstrasse in Maienfeld. From
here the trail will lead you through the historical city
of Maienfeld Á. Walk until you see the sign  to Rofels Ã. Following this road you will arrive directly at
the Heidi‘s Village, with the original Heidi‘s House
and the Museum Johanna Spyri‘s Heidiworld Ä. This
is where Heidi lived, more than 100 years ago. As
well, here Ä is the starting point

The Heidi Trail leads you to Hotel Restaurant Heidihof Å with a large terrace where you can relax
and enjoy fine meals and drinks. On the trail again,
you will reach the Heidi Fountain Æ. From here the
trail leads you through the vineyards and the city of
Maienfeld, back to the start of the Heidi Trail À.
