is celebrated annually on the 5th of November, and is associated with the tradition of Guy Fawkes Night, although many of
its traditions have been lost to modern revelry.

“Remember, remember the fifth of November
Gunpowder, treason and plot. I see no reason,
why gunpowder treason. Should ever be forgot.”
These traditions can be dated back to 1605, when thirteen young men planned to blow up the Houses of Parliament. Among
them was Guy Fawkes, Britain’s most notorious traitor. The men, along with many other Catholics in Britain, disagreed with
the crowning of King James I. On November the 5th 1605, the group plotted to fill a cellar under the Houses of Parliament with
gunpowder. In doing so, they would kill the King, and the members of Parliament who were making life difficult for the Catholics.
On the night of the gunpowder plot, Guy Fawkes was betrayed, and authorities captured him in the cellar, tortured him and he was
later executed. That night, bonfires were lit all over the country to celebrate the safety of the King.
Since then, bonfires have continued to be set alight every November, becoming more elaborate and extravagant each year!
Bonfire Night is a great time to spend with friends and family. Get children to build their very own ‘Guy’ with old clothes, straw
and newspaper and tell them the significance of putting the effigy on the bonfire. Other activities such as apple bobbing, lighting
sparklers and making treacle toffee are great ways to entertain children who may not be enthusiastic about the fireworks!
Bonfire Night can also be incredibly romantic whether you are single or in a relationship. It might be that your current relationship
could do with a few sparks, and sometimes you have to start a fire to rekindle a romance. The 5th of November can also be a great
time to meet someone new. Firework displays are traditional in cities and villages all around the UK, and can be great places to
meet new people in your area, or to take someone on a date.

Our Readers
This month we profile two wonderful readers with two individual stories.
We start with a new reader, Dayity and continue later in this issue with Yianna.

Being a spiritual child was never easy for me, I was inquisitive and was constantly
asking my parents about people and voices that I had seen and heard that were no
longer on the earth plane, they could not answer the questions I asked so for a few
years I never spoke about it.
As I grew older I began talking to an old lady who lived near our family, I would assist
her to tend her garden, I would talk for ages about the spirit people who would visit me
and talk to me, and about angels, for the first time in my life I had found a friend that
really understood.
I was 19 when I did my first professional reading and that had a profound affect in regards to my spiritual path. I will
always remember the look on her face when I told her about her little boy that had gone back to spirit leaving his twin
here and how he would visit his brother. She was in awe of what I was saying to her and the tears she shed were that of
immense happiness.
I have been doing my spiritual work for over 34 years. Every reading is given with integrity, clarity and above all sensitivity
that every one of my clients deserves. I light the way in my clients lives where they feel there is none. As such, people
come back time and time again for spiritual guidance.
I am a great believer that we are all born with a spiritual gift, those that choose to nurture become earth Angels that shine
the light to those in need. The gifts that I have been given are Tarot and Angel card reading, Clairvoyancy and being a
medium.
I specialise in love, finance and career issues answering those all important questions giving clarity to situations. I have
read for high profile clients and have been in newspapers. I have a wealth of experience working in the spiritual field that

I believe to this day that the lady who sat with me all those years shone the light on my spiritual path and still walks with
me in spirit; she is my guide, Angel and my dearest friend.
Personal story:
Firstly I would like to thank everyone who I have read for allowing me in to their lives and a big big thank you for all of you
that have written feedback on the website.
I am 53 years old, living in a place that is called ‘Robin Hood Country’, I am married to the most wonderful man who is
kind, caring and intrigued with the work I do. I have 9 children. 6 boys and 3 girls all age ranging from 12 - 35 years old,
not to mention 3 beautiful grandchildren.
I have loved every minute of being a mum, watching my children grow, but it hasn’t always been like that. 19 years ago
my son (who was a 2 year old at the time) started demonstrating bizarre mannerisms; it was as though time started to
stand still for him. A year later after numerous hospital appointments, I was told my son was autistic, but it didn’t stop
there they told me he was profoundly autistic. My little boy was never going to grow up in the way his peers would, he
would never have a job, partner or children. Within hours my life fell apart. I remember crying, just holding him. After a few
months, I began to prove people wrong. They would tell me I wouldn’t be able to potty train him. I trained him when he

was three. They said he wouldn’t be able to talk, after a while he started to talk. It was such an amazing feeling.
In those 3 years I had 3 more children 2 boys and a girl. Within 3 years of my 2 boy’s life, history had started to repeat
itself. My heart was broken again, how could this happen to me? So again I got up and sorted it all out, not just for me but
for my 6 children. Friends would say to me that they would have snapped or gone crazy if they would have had to live
my life, but I just accepted that this is my life and I was just so very happy I had my beautiful children. I worked when my
children were at nursery and school.
Then I had my 7th, 8th and 9th child. Then I decided NO more children! I had been blessed with my beautiful large family.
We lived on a fabulous farm with 2 massive gardens where the children were blessed with freedom. Then it was time
for my 7th son to go to school, he was a little bit slower to learn than his friends but I wasn’t worried. Then one day I was
called into school, there were concerns in regards to him, then another bombshell, ‘Your son has autism’ the consultant
said. By that time I had become a very strong person. My son needed me to help make him strong and happy. We all
worked as a family together. Cried, smiled, laughed, but never gave in.
All my children were off to school, I was working all hours with my spiritual work. It was a spring day. My youngest son
hadn’t been well for a while; my husband at the time had the day off work so to cheer up the boy we decided to take him
out for the day to get some fresh air. We had only been out for one hour when our six year old boy collapsed and within
10 minutes he was in hospital. Within half an hour he was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. He was so ill, the doctor said
that he was a very lucky boy; we had come so close to losing him. I sat in hospital day and night for a week learning how
to inject him 4 times a day, he was terrified each meal because it came with a needle being given to him. He was in pain
and worst of all his mummy had to hurt him with this needle. I cried every
time I had to give him those injections, but luckily the hospital staff gave me “I believe to this day that the lady
loads of support and within a week my little boy was back home with us.

and a drink for the little ones when he got up and dropped to the floor. Within seconds of it happening my life was ruined,
my children were in the shock of their lives. Their father – Gone! I was told he died of a heart attack.
For 3 years I lived for work, got on with what I thought was my life. In October 2011 I met a lovely man and in March this
year we got married. I still say my deceased husband sent him to me; we are a very happy complete family again.
My 4 autistic sons are now grown men: 1 has a lovely fiancé and 2 adorable children, 1 is going to university, 1 is going to
college. And my 23 year old severely autistic son, well he will always be my little boy who plays in the sand on the beach
and wants for Santa to come down the chimney. If anyone was to ask me what I would change in my life if I was to come
back again, the answer would be nothing! What would my legacy be? The answer to that would be my 9 amazing children
- what a legacy to leave…
Hobbies & pets
Well my garden is my life, when I’m not at work I’m working on my flower bed and veggie patch. I also love transforming
old furniture into shabby chic masterpieces.
I have 2 guinea pigs called Gibbles and Bobby. I have 2 rabbits (old English) called Harriet and Holly and an adorable
white German shepherd puppy called Connie who sits with me as I work.

Pyromancy
Pyromancy was an ancient type of divination used by those in Ancient Greece and Rome. Vestal Virgins in Rome were keepers
of the eternal flame; they divined the future whilst observing the forever burning flames. In these times fire was looked upon as being
intrinsically pure – a primary element that would purify anything offered up be it plants, animals or people, making them acceptable to
Vesta the Goddess of the Hearth.
Everything about the flames would have been analysed – the way they flickered, their height, their colour, their rise and fall, the
amount of smoke, any sounds they made…
During a sacrifice it was considered good if the flames were quickly consumed, it was considered bad if the flames were disturbed
by wind, took a long time to start or took a long time to burn. A favourable interpretation was taken from no sounds and a bright orange
colour, but things were adverse if the fire crackled, there was a lot of smoke or it was deep red in colour.
The ancients would also divine by fire torches, a flame divided in two meant a bad omen, but a single flame or one with three
or more aspects was a good sign. A bent flame could mean sickness or even death, the most feared sign was if the flame went out
suddenly – signifying great disaster.
Ceromancy
It’s not very practical nowadays to divine by fire, but you can still take from the practise using candles. Lychnomancy can be used
by interpreting candle flames to answer questions. Ceromamcy divines via decoding the patterns that candle wax makes.
If you want to try Ceromancy, then take a large candle and burn it for at least half an hour, this will allow positive energy to build up
before you use it. Take a bowl of water – use opposite colours, so if your candle is white or cream then a coloured bowl would be better,
so you can see the formed shapes. Think about your question and then say it out loud whilst simultaneously blowing out the candle.
Then place the candle at an angle over the bowl of water for 1-2 seconds and allow a shape to form. You intuition will guide you on the
shape – the first thing that springs to mind will be right. There are many websites and books to guide you on all of the possible shapes,
but here are some shapes and explanations to get you started:
Interpreting the Flames
Anchor – your loved one is true to you
Balloon – your problems will not last long, difficulties will lift
Bell – a celebration will take place, possibly a wedding
Bird – soon you will be hearing good news
Bridge – take a chance
Broom – change is going to happen, or make a change
Chain – this is a signal you should go ahead with your plans
Circle – a reconciliation will take place
Cloud – a difficult situation lies ahead
Cross – you are being protected, there is nothing to fear
Ear – advancement at work is likely
Fan – expect a surprise
Feather – your problem will be solved
Ghost – someone in your past is searching for you
Heart – a friendship will turn in to love
House – improved times are ahead
Moon – you should gain more money soon
Pen – a close friend or relative will be writing to you
Scissors – a separation will take place
Snake – be on guard against your enemies
Spiders Web – good news will befall you
Star – happiness
Sun – good fortune
Walking Stick – get out and about, visit friends
Wheel – someone will return to you
Lychnomancy
If you would prefer to practise Lychnomancy, then choose a candle and hold it in a heat proof container, light it, relax, close your eyes
and focus on your question. Open your eyes and now gaze past the candle, keep your question in mind and watch what the flame is doing,
the answer to your question can be interpreted as follows:
A strong burning flame – this indicates a definite ‘yes’ to your question.
A tall and hot flame – you need to think fast, the issue in hand will proceed quickly.
A yellow flame – you will need to think about your situation more creatively to get a good solution.
A blue flame or crackling flame – rest assured you have spiritual guidance working to get you the desired outcome.
A sudden blaze of flame – something unexpected will happen!
A flickering flame – the issue you are concerned about needs more of your attention and input to sort.
The candle is burning faintly – now is not the time to act in haste, take stock and think about your problem before acting.
A small low flame – expect progress to be slow.
Black smoke from the flame – someone is opposed to you, there may be struggles ahead – you could snuff out the flame to nip any
bad influences in the bud.
If the candle will not light or will not go out – this indicates a definite ‘no’ to your question.

be personalised. Various screwdrivers are now available from the Wand
Company starting at a cost of £59.99 – Christmas present anyone?
T
here is much buzz surrounding the 50th anniversary episode of Dr Who titled The Day of the Doctor,
certain details have been released, but they are desperately trying to keep the story under wraps. So
much so that the special will be broadcast around the world at the same time; it will be the biggest
simulcast in history! British viewers will be able to watch the episode in
Current Doctor
many cinemas in the UK in 3D.
Much to the disgust of die-hard fans, American fans have seen a special sneak
peak trailer that was shown at the San Diego Comic-Con. Steven Moffatt (writer
and producer) has claimed that he has ‘lied until his pants burned’, in order to
keep the true story a secret, so it’s possible it could all be different to what we
believe so far…
At the end of the last series a new character John Hurt was revealed as an
unknown version of the Doctor. Howard Burden (costume designer) says he is
a ‘dark’ Doctor fitting somewhere in-between Paul McGann (1990 TV Movie)
and Christopher Eccleston. In between these two characters there was no
‘regeneration’ and John Hurt fills the gap as a past
Doctor as opposed to a future Doctor.

The feature length episode will reunite former Doctor David Tennant and his
companion and unrequited love Rose (Billie Piper) and they will team up with
the current Doctor (Matt Smith) and his companion - Clara, our cover star
Jenna Coleman (also pictured top right outside the tardis). Will the Tardis be big
enough for them both?
Following the special episode, eyes will turn to the Christmas episode and of
course the bowing out of Matt Smith as Doctor to make way for a new Doctor

watching him on set and he’s so heartbreakingly good. You get all excited
