In 2007, Prosperitas Capital Partners signed a technical cooperation agreement with the MIF,
the National Development Corporation, and the Technological Laboratory of Uruguay to finance
a comprehensive program, known as Programa Emprender, to support dynamic business
development in Uruguay. As part of Programa Emprender, the Fondo Emprender and the Angel
Investors Network were created to grant early stage financing.
