In the last 105 years, assets grew to over $370 million with $40 million in capital, and our staff includes more than 70 employees across eight branches. Like Garnavillo Savings Bank and its growth since 1904, this success was possible because we worked together with our communities to provide innovative products and a high level of customer satisfaction. We look forward to continuing to serve you through these same principles and philosophies. Our Leadership Left to right: Steve Brady, Bill Robinson, and Jackie Johnson. Welcome to Community Savings Bank! We’re excited to be part of the community of Garnavillo! Community Savings Bank chose this community and Garnavillo Savings Bank due to our shared goals and values. We are committed to making this an easy and seamless transition. The merger of Garnavillo Savings Bank with Community Savings Bank is a milestone in the century-long histories of our institutions. Bringing these two solid, community-focused banks together enables greater lending flexibility and financial strength. In addition, it represents a tremendous opportunity for you to receive more services for less than you are paying right now — along with the attentive service of the staff you have worked with for years. Why merge? Both of our boards of directors believe that bringing these two banks together will be better for the community and, most importantly, for you. CSB offers a wider range of products, services and locations, yet they share a philosophy and tradition of serving the needs of communities in Northeast Iowa, where we all live and work. That tradition was key in making the decision to merge. Familiar Faces Another key factor in the merger was maintaining highly capable staffing and service. We’re proud to announce that you can count on seeing the same friendly faces in the Garnavillo location. With decades of experience catering to your needs, our staff will be there to address your questions and fulfill your banking requests. Plus, you might meet a few new people along the way! New Products, Fewer Fees With eight locations in Clayton, Delaware, Dubuque and Linn counties, CSB offers a large portfolio of products for you to choose from. Most customers will transition to our signature Simply Free Checking account, which is truly simple and free. For advanced, secure e-banking solutions, you may wish to try the convenient Online Bill Pay and Mobile Banking. Farmers and small business owners now have the option to use Remote Deposit for depositing checks. We also offer Agricultural Loans, Student Loans and in-house Mortgage Loan servicing. We encourage you to use this guide to learn important details about the merger and how it affects your accounts. You may still have questions — if so, please contact a staff member for answers as we work to make a smooth transition into Community Savings Bank. Sincerely, Bill Robinson Vice President & Branch Manager Steve Brady President & CEO 1 Important Information & Dates Important Dates September 30, 2015 October 24, 2015 November 13, 2015 Official Merger of Garnavillo Savings Bank into Community Savings Bank. Transaction accounts, in general, are accounts that permit an unlimited number of payments to third persons and an unlimited number of telephone and preauthorized transfers to other accounts of yours with us. Checking accounts are the most common transaction accounts. Feel free to ask us whether any of your other accounts might also be under this policy. Our policy is to make funds from your cash and check deposits available to you on the first business day after the day we receive your deposit. Electronic direct deposits will be available on the day we receive the deposit. Once the funds are available, you can withdraw them in cash and we will use the funds to pay checks that you have written. Please remember that even after we have made funds available to you, and you have withdrawn the funds, you are still responsible for checks you deposit that are returned to us unpaid and for any other problems involving your deposit. For determining the availability of your deposits, every day is a business day, except Saturdays, Sundays, and federal holidays. If you make a deposit before closing on a business day that we are open, we will consider that day to be the day of your deposit. However, if you make a deposit after closing or on a day we are not open, we will consider that the deposit was made on the next business day we are open. If you make a deposit at an ATM before 4:00 P.M. on a business day that we are open, we will consider that day to be the day of your deposit. However, if you make a deposit at an ATM after 4:00 P.M. or on a day we are not open, we will consider that the deposit was made on the next business day we are open. (All New Accounts will have this service restricted for the first ninety (90) days from the date the account is opened. To activate this option after the ninetieth (90th) day it is necessary for you to contact Customer Service.) If we cash a check for you that is drawn on another bank, we may withhold the availability of a corresponding amount of funds that are already in your account. Those funds will be available at the time funds from the check we cashed would have been available if you had deposited it. If we accept for deposit a check that is drawn on another bank, we may make funds from the deposit available for withdrawal immediately but delay your availability to withdraw a corresponding amount of funds that you have on deposit in another account with us. The funds in the account would then not be available for withdrawal until the time periods that are described elsewhere in this disclosure for the type of check that you deposited. LONGER DELAYS MAY APPLY Case-by-case delays In some cases, we will not make all of the funds that you deposit by check available to you on the first business day after the day of your deposit. Depending on the type of check that you deposit, funds may not be available until the second business day after the day of your deposit. The first $200 of your deposits, however, will be available on the first business day. If we are not going to make all of the funds from your deposit available on the first business day, we will notify you at the time you make your deposit. We will also tell you when the funds will be available. If your deposit is not made directly to one of our employees, or if we decide to take this action after you have left the premises, we will mail you the notice by the day after we receive your deposit. If you will need the funds from a deposit right away, you should ask us when the funds will be available. Safeguard exceptions In addition, funds you deposit by check may be delayed for a longer period under the following circumstances: We believe a check you deposit will not be paid. You deposit checks totaling more than $5,000 on any one day. You redeposit a check that has been returned unpaid. You have overdrawn your account repeatedly in the last six months. There is an emergency, such as failure of computer or communications equipment. We will notify you if we delay your ability to withdraw funds for any of these reasons, and we will tell you when the funds will be available. They will generally be available no later than the seventh business day after the day of your deposit. SPECIAL RULES FOR NEW ACCOUNTS If you are a new customer, the following special rules will apply during the first 30 days your account is open. Funds from electronic direct deposits to your account will be available on the day we receive the deposit. Funds from deposits of cash, wire transfers, and the first $5,000 of a day’s total deposits of cashier’s, certified, teller’s, traveler’s, and federal, state and local government checks will be available on the first business day after the day of your deposit if the deposit meets certain conditions. For example, the checks must be payable to you (and you may have to use a special deposit slip). The excess over $5,000 will be available on the ninth business day after the day of your deposit. If your deposit of these checks (other than a U.S. Treasury check) is not made in person to one of our employees, the first $5,000 will not be available until the second business day after the day of your deposit. Funds from all other check deposits will be available on the ninth business day after the day of your deposit. 9 Privacy Policies Facts WHAT DOES COMMUNITY SAVINGS BANK DO WITH YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
