Well Pholks I am sure the cold is going away soon. Spraing
has sprung so the world is turning our way. I bet it’s going to
be a lot warmer in Panama City when we head down there.
We will meet at Cartoon’s this Thursday and I hear there is a
great band playing!! “Rusty Fender”, AKA Bud’s Basement
Band will be there for your listening and dancing pleasure. I
hope you enjoy it. Bring a phriend and lets have phun and
build some membership. Our theme this month is the “Easter
Bonnet”. So do your best to build your craziest bonnet and
let’s see who wins.
Life will start moving faster soon with Panama City Rendezvous, Birdies, MOKSAROK, Rockin Ribs and the Kansas
City Jimmy Buffett concert looming around the corner. Stay
tuned for information on all of them.

Paula and Dan (Danno) Wilken
Paula and I settled here in 1978. Raised two sons the oldest is married with 2 sons of their own. Our youngest is single and still living in Springfield.
As far as Jimmy Buffett music goes I always liked it He is one of few singers that I can actually here the lyrics as bad as my hearing can be at times. My favorite song is the one I happen be listing to at the time what
can I say.
Our interests are friends and family. Once our boys grew up we took to traveling. We have been to the South
Pacific the Caribbean and Mexico. We are looking forward to going to Cuba some day when we can go there
soon I hope.
My motto is “Damn the cheap shit and full speed ahead” I guess Paula’s is “Dan it is your
turn to cook” or “ get off your but and do something”.
As Most knows I am retired Fed and Paula is still working. She tried retirement but didn’t like it and went
back to work.
There is more stuff I can write about but I like to things in the present.

then you ask yourself what else could there be…we are Parrot Heads and that means the Party goes on
with Jim Asbell and the Tropiholics and Closing the Night out with Sauce Boss. Again you say that has to
be all but of course not…Scattered among the Bands we have a
Cheeseburger in Paradise right on the Beach and our Game Master for the last 10 years is back again
with some Game Surprises and let’s not forget that
Boat Drink Contest…yes over the years we have had a few casualties along the way but everyone survived and lived to Party Another Day.

Sunday April 19th is a day that gives you a chance to recover before heading out we start Sunday off
with an encore by Barefoot Man then Gene Mitchell and we will follow that with a Locals Showcase.
All these things that are happening…you must be asking yourself…

and most of all where do I hide my Cooler?

The Bands play on our Beach Stage that sits right in the Sand with the Backdrop of the beautiful Gulf of
Mexico…when we say
“On the Beach we really mean On the Beach”.
That also means you…bring your personal Beach Chair find your place in the sand and sit there all weekend in… put your toes in the Sand facing the Gulf of Mexico… watch the Band and dance in the Sand…
The Barefoot Bar is there if you want a drink or three or if you want food they have a full menu…
Your personal cooler gets lonely…bring it to the Beach filled with your favorite beverage.
