Q: How do you show prospective new Consultants what is
possible with Epicure, especially if they have reservations?
A: I say, “Why don't we take your business for a test drive? I'll do
a Party for you – you just invite your friends and family and act as
the Hostess. Watch what I do, and think about it from both the
Hostess and the Consultant perspective. You'll see how simple it
is to demonstrate the products, and you can also watch how your
guests are responding. As the Hostess, you can enjoy the Hostess
Rewards from your Party, and if you decide you'd like to sign up as
a Consultant, you can have any future Party bookings from your
guests!” Most people sign up on the spot!
Q: How come you've been able to continue growing with
Epicure for nearly 15 years?
A: I don't get caught up in negative stuff. Life is always about a
choice, and it's my choice to have a positive attitude. A positive
attitude produces positive results every time. What do you want
for your business? At my first Party, I had almost no sales. When my
husband asked how it went, I said, “Well, let me put it this way: it
can only get better from here!” I could have cried and gotten really
upset, but the truth is that when I come through challenges and
disappointments, I learn so many lessons. My advice is to find the
gift in every situation.

Before
she joined Epicure two years ago, Jackie Kochan was
a faithful Hostess. “I had been using Epicure products for at least eight
years. I've always been really passionate about the health benefits of
our products. Epicure offers so many low and no-sodium ways to add
flavour. There's nothing better. I love to educate people about these
simple, delicious, affordable ways to eat well and reduce your risk of
stroke, heart attack, and diabetes. I especially love bragging about
our bouillons because they taste so good and are the very lowest in
sodium you can get.”
When Jackie wanted to contribute more financially to her daughter's
wedding, it made sense to start selling the products she already loved
so much. “I didn't think I'd build a Team, though.” Her enthusiasm for
the products naturally attracted new Consultants, and in October
2011, Jackie received a call from Epicure notifying her that she had
promoted to Team Leader. “It took at least two hours after that call for
it to really sink in!”
Jackie has a knack for coming up with new and interesting ways

Q: What product can you just not
get enough of at the moment?
A: The Chili Garlic Sea Salt! It's amazing
– savoury with just the right amount
of mild heat. I made potato chips with
the Chipster and seasoned them with
the Chili Garlic Sea Salt. They were
unbelievably good!
Geneviève attended her first Party at
a neighbour’s home in February 2011
and found it very interesting. She was
completely taken by the quality and
price of the products. “I did not feel like
selling jewelry or beauty products, but

Since her son suffers from health issues

surprising about yourself since
becoming a Consultant?
A: I didn't think I would enjoy doing
Parties as much as I do! In my everyday
life, I don't care for crowds and I'm
definitely not what you would consider
an “outgoing” person. But I am with
Epicure! When I'm in Consultant
mode, I love meeting new people
and learning about them. And I have

with me every year.

The new Compensation Plan is here and we hope you are as
excited about it as we are. By now, you have learned the details of
the Plan from your Leader and are well on your way to making the
Plan work for you. You’re also getting used to the new terms:
You’re a Team now, not a Unit. And get a load of your new
simplified titles: Consultant, Manager, Leader and Director, and all
points in-between!
We have heard your questions about one new term in particular:
you’re now Qualified, not Active or Inactive. A Qualified
Consultant is one who has submitted $200 within a calendar
month. But don’t worry – even if you don’t qualify, you’ll still earn
commission on everything you sell. You can submit orders too
($50 minimum), even if you don’t qualify. Talk to your Leader or refer
to the brochure and FAQs on the Consultant website for full details.
