We’re beginning to see the changes in the colors of the leaves and we may even be pulling out our favorite sweater or blanket. What a beautiful time of year! As many of our friends and family return from other states and countries, we are filled with the excitement of welcoming them back. For many folks, the Malden Senior Community Center feels like a second home. We’re proud to serve as a central location where many of our beloved seniors share a meal or a cup of coffee with friends to laugh and catch up on issues that are important to them. It’s also a great place to access important community resources and enjoy an afternoon of activities and entertainment. In the spirit of enjoying family and friends, the Center is excited to promote its upcoming 2014 Malden Senior Community Center Gala on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. This celebration will be an opportunity to bring back old friends of the Center and celebrate with new ones. Malden’s own, Rick Freni will be the DJ for the event and he will be happy to play popular tunes from the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s for your entertainment. We will also be offering light refreshments from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM to the FIRST 200 seniors who sign up. There will be a sign up table at the Malden Senior Community Center Atrium on TUESDAY, October 7, 2014 from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM and tickets will be given out. Make sure to sign up early! We will also be offering limited transportation. Please make sure to mention your transportation needs when signing up. Lastly, please remember to SAVE THE DATE for the 2014 Artisan Faire. It is quickly approaching! The Faire will take place at the Malden Senior Community Center on Saturday, November 8, 2014 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
