We have a board of 7 members. President, Vice- President, Treasurer, Secretary and two 2 year and a one year board positions. Newsletter is not a board position. This year board voting is as follows: Jerry Nusz President: Vice-president and running is Jerry Nusz Vice-President: 1 year position, (no nominations or runners and would run for president the following year.) Sheila Hatle Treasurer: 1 year position, (no nominations or runners) Secretary: 1 year and currently and running for a second term is Sheila Hatle Board Member: 1 year position, running is Dave Ryan Dave Ryan Board Member: 2 year position, (no nominations or runners) Board Member: Heather Almendinger (position not open, Heather is fulfilling the second year of a 2 year term) Heather A. Dancing and Socializing Opportunities Dakota Country Dance Club members get together on a weekly basis. Members receive the Dakota Country Happenings email. Dakota Country Happenings is a an outrageously comprehensive weekly email listing country happenings in the valley and surrounding areas, (rumor has it media is trying to get their hands on it!) watch for it in your email. Thursday Night Line Dance Lessons Line Dance Lessons are held on Thursdays at Borrowed Bucks Roadhouse in Sioux Falls from 7:00PM-8:30PM. Lesson with some country music dance time to follow. $4.00 for Members/$6.00 Non-Members. There will be food and drink specials and a ton of fun! Please Come to our Board Meetings with input on your view of how the club can advance with new activities and events that would evoke your attendance. Next Meeting at Date: Monday March 19th at to follow the 5:00PM meal at Borrowed Bucks Come out on Thursdays and Fridays for Country Music and Dancing at Bucks' Thursdays after Line Dance (8:30) and Fridays at Bucks is the best in Country Dancing Fun. Dance begins around 7:00 PM on Fridays with a DJ! A good turn out every week ensures the country music will keep on playing. Bring your friends and be sure to say hello to our dance neighbors so everyone feels welcome. "Dust off your boots, get out your hat and come on down to Bucks and do it Country Style!” Saturdays at Borrowed Bucks Roadhouse, Sioux Falls Country Music starts as early as 6:00PM. Bucks will keep it playing until at least 9:00PM because they know that DCDC members will come out for the fun. This is a great way to keep in touch with club members and show off your dance skills. See you there! The Ballroom Dance Club of Sioux Falls. Attend the only Big Band Ballroom Dance in the area. The second Friday of each month a big band orchestra entertains the crowd with music from past eras; the 40's,50's and 60's. All ages and abilities are welcome. Dance lesson at 6:00 PM, band plays 7:00-10:30 PM. $14.00 per person and $7.00 for students with ID. Dress Code.
