kate Malone at Waddesdon
Feast
June - end of October
Showcasing around 40 pieces of new work
by ceramist Kate Malone, this exhibition in
the Coach House is inspired by 19th-century
kitchen gardens and the Manor itself. At its
heart are the garden, pumpkins and squashes
which are a recurring theme in Kate’s work,
and the exhibition celebrates the material and
art of ceramics, a particularly strong area of
the collection at Waddesdon. It forms part of
the Contemporary at Waddesdon programme,
commissioning artists to respond to the place
and its contents. Kate has recently been
appointed as one of two judges on a new
BBC series about ceramics, with a format
based on the Great British Bake-off.
Saturday and Sunday 18 & 19 June
10am - 5pm
Come and enjoy food, drink and the pleasures
of Waddesdon in the second year of our very
successful festival weekend. Take a seat at our
150 metre long decorated table in front of the
Manor, or choose from our stallholders in the
Food Market. A great day out for all ages.
Joana Vasconcelos: Art in the Garden

Joana Vasconcelos for the Gardens, following
